Q:it would be possible to cut the counter and make the cut out bigger, I think. I have read that the 30" cooking top needs a bigger cutout than what I have presently. I need 4 burners and at least one of those burners has to be a bigger size than 6.5". like your 24 inch cooking top shows. It also looks to me that the 24" cooking top would be too small for my cutout. Do you have any ideas that can help me on what to do about this problem. My old unit really needs to be replaced. Thank you so much for your time! Linda Johnson

      Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, Linda. Our 24" cooktops have a cutoff requirement smaller than what you have now. If you can make the cutout larger, you can see some of the 30" models we carry here: http://www.homedepot.com/b/Appliances-Cooking-Cooktops-Electric-Cooktops/30-in/Smooth-Surface/N-5yc1vZc3qaZ1z103g6Z1z13lqd You may also want to speak to one of our Major Appliance Experts in your local Home Depot to go over other options that may work for you. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.
