A:  I use this in my top loader per these instructions: Pour a small amount of Glisten onto a clean cloth. Wipe the rubber seal around the door until the residue is removed. Rinse thoroughly with a damp cloth. With machine empty, add 1/2 cup to detergent drawer (front loader) or directly into the washer tub (top loader). Run washer on “Normal” wash cycle with hot water setting. Repeat monthly or as needed to maintain a clean & fresh washer.

When we recently bought our first front-loading washer, we were shocked at how dirty the seals became and how smelly the tub was. We're just two adults; no muddy kids or pets. We wipe down the seals after every load of laundry and leave the door open in between loads but the issues continued. We have found we need to use this product at least once a month so it's handy to buy in bulk. Easy to use (as others have mentioned) but occasionally we have to run a second cycle. I'd give 5 stars if it were stronger.

        I had a water valve that was functioning incorrectly because...
        I had a water valve that was functioning incorrectly because of lime scale. In turn, it was affecting the board which kept interrupting the wash cycle. I had a repair man in and the cost to replace both was at least half the cost of a new machine. I ran Glisten through the machine after their dishwasher product cleaned up my dishwasher like magic. Glisten Machine Cleaner made my washing machine problem go away.
