I was looking for a motorized damper to install in my Broan kitchen range hood, as cold air was pushing through the exhaust and into the house when the range hood was not in use. This is an excellent damper as it seals 100% when the flap is in a closed position and resting on the integrated neoprene seals. The motor is also extremely quiet, and there is no loud noise when the flap returns to its normal position (as with other dampers that are spring loaded)

Using in the bypass duct to my whole house humidifier to stop airflow when theres no humidity call. The damper and humidifier are both powered with the transformer that came with this wired in parallel and so far it works great. The motor does get quite warm so make sure it has plenty of air space and not in a position where someone will bump into it.
