The Inductor 8 in. Corded In-Line Duct Fan is engineered to overcome back pressure and boost air in forced air heating and cooling systems without upsetting the balance in the closed loop system. The DB208C boosts airflow in ducts with low air delivery to improve comfort and energy efficiency. If you have rooms that are too hot or too cold due to poor airflow, this is an efficient and economical solution.
  • UL listed E227633 heating and cooling equipment UL 1995 and CSA C22.2 no. 236
  • 210 CFM free air to maximum boosted air 500 CFM
  • Thermally protected class B motor, 55 running Watt, 0.70 startup Amp, 120 VAC, 60 Hz

        A:  I am using this for the air vent and not for return. return lines are typically rectangular. This is a fan so should work where you put it. The problem I think will be the sensor to turn this on. It should work if you wire it to the heating system.

          A:  Hello, this installation would be acceptable. Please keep in mind that the performance may be hindered due to the long run of duct leading to the booster, but we feel you will still benefit from the installation. Unfortunately we don't have direct experience with this specific application so we're unable to gauge what the total effectiveness will be for you. Thank you.

            Beware
            A very quiet fan, this Suncourt 8 inch inline duct fan, is. Beware though the male crimped end of this fan is not accurately measured. Was near impossible to feed into duct work. Luckily it was done on the bench and not in existing duct work, which would have been impossible, IMO. I had to hammer with a mallet and the fan blade fell off.

              strong & quiet
              I purchased this fan to use for a painting booth. The blades are plastic and light weight allowing it to rotate very fast. This fan is capable of sucking out a high volume of air maximizing air flow. The fan was very easy to install because it came with crimp and bead on one side along with screws. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the value of this fan and with the strength and low noise that it makes.

              VERY NOISY!
              Pushed very little air and so noisy no matter how it is installed or it's location in the system. Not worth the money or time to buy this piece of junk!

Please keep in mind that this fan is rated for moving clean air (not smoke or fume filled) at temperatures less than 140 F and greater than 40 F. Failures can be application (what it's being used for) related at times. The fan does have a 1-year limited warranty to cover manufacturing defects.
