Upgrade your outdoor living area with clear SUNLITE, a sleek, rigid, & durable multiwall panel made of virtually unbreakable polycarbonate. While the outside surface offers the smooth, clean lines of a flat sheet, the twinwall cellular structure creates an insulating air space that increases its ability to retain heat, resulting in better thermal insulation than you would get with a single-layer sheet.Lighter than similar corrugated polycarbonate options and significantly lighter than glass, SUNLITE is easy to handle and install, ideal for DIY home improvement projects including patio or deck covers, privacy partitions, backyard animal shelters, greenhouses, pool enclosures, interior decor, window glazing, canopies and more. The panels withstand snow, ice, and extreme temperatures. With up to 20x more impact resistance than fiberglass, it also offers excellent hail protection for your space.

Sunlite panels have a 10 year limited warranty: 1.A. Light Transmission (Refers only to transparent Products) The Product shall not lose more than 8.5% of its light-transmitting capability (hereinafter “decrease”) for a period of 10 years from the commencement date as defined below as a direct and exclusive result of solar radiation impact (as measured pursuant to the procedures specified in ASTM D1003-77). 1.B. Impact and hail resistance The Product shall not break due to loss of impact strength as a direct and exclusive result of weathering and/ or, shall not break as a direct and exclusive result of impact of hail, measuring up to 20mm diameter, attaining a velocity of up to 20 m/sec (Loss of above capability shall be hereinafter referred to a “breakage”). Excessive loss of impact strength will be determined by test according to ISO 6603/1-2000 and/or ASTM D-5628-95 method F, to be applied on a sample of the broken sheet. This warranty applies only if
Installing Palram Sunlite (multiwall polycarbonate) panels horizontally is generally not recommended by the manufacturer. These panels are engineered for vertical (wall) or sloped roof installation to ensure proper water drainage and structural integrity.
✅ 1. Connecting Butt Joints (Panel-to-Panel End Joints) Since Sunlite panels typically come in lengths up to 24 feet, for a 48' run you’ll need to join panels end-to-end (butt joint). Here's how: Use an H-Profile Connector Aluminum or polycarbonate H-Profile (ideally aluminum for better strength and thermal performance) should be used to connect panels at the butt joints. Leave a 1/8"–1/4" expansion gap between panel ends inside the connector to allow for thermal movement. Seal the joint with appropriate silicone sealant (100% silicone, polycarbonate-compatible) inside the profile if water sealing is needed. ✅ 2. Sealing and Covering Panel Ends Use U-Profiles (End Caps) Install polycarbonate U-profile end caps on the top and bottom of each panel to protect the internal flutes. Drill small weep holes in the bottom U-profile every 12–18" to allow condensation to drain. Seal the top U-profile with clear polycarbonate-compatible sealant to block insects and moisture. Add Anti-Dust Tape (Highly Recommended) Before installing U-profiles: Use vented anti-dust tape on the bottom end. Use solid aluminum tape on the top end. This prevents dust, algae, and insects from entering the flutes while allowing moisture to escape. ✅ 3. Mounting Tips for Wall Use Ensure the panels are installed with the flutes running vertically (for condensation drainage). Use Palram-recommended fasteners with rubber washers to prevent leaks. Maintain UV-protected side facing out (check panel markings).
HI Robert, For Sunlite sheets, it is recommended you use a 100% silicone sealant, or any silicone sealant/adhesive that is recommended for polycarbonate material. Then use Palram fasteners with special EPDM washers to predrill all fastener holes with a 3/16" drill bit to accommodate for the thermal movement of the panel. Longer length sheets should have holes over drilled. Failure to accommodate thermal movement will cause buckling of the sheet. Attach fasteners every 12" in the vertical direction. In high wind areas, fasten every 8". Use 2" fasteners for all roof applications. DO NOT overtighten fasteners causing the rubber washer to compress.
Hello Mitch, Yes, the SUNLITE panels can be used in a variety of applications including greenhouses, patio covers, sun rooms, and skylights to name a few. Please refer to the Palram Americas website to see additional design ideas. Thank you, Palram Americas
Hi Tony, You will need our anti dust tape to seal, and the protite screws to fasten our Sunlite multiwall panels to your structure. Please view our installation guide for a complete step-by-step instructions.
