Review for beam clamp, 7/8 jaw opening, cost 2.44ea. CLAMP WORKS great, holds tight to the beam. Home depot in Parkesburg only had quantity of 25. The online quantity for that store was 70, but the store associate said there was not that many in inventory. And the practicality of a 7/8 inch opening is limiting. Why doesnt the clamp accomodate a 1 inch or 1-1/8 size opening? A 1/4 -20 SCREW size will thread into a vert (top or bottom) clamp position OR there is also a convenient thread position from the side facing outward. I gave it only two stars because i needed way more than qty twenty five, and store inventory records showd qty 70 but didnt, the price was high and it is too narrow of an opening, it should hav been sized for one inch maximum, not 7/8 max opening. AND BECAUSE the bolt head is square, not hex, it will not tighten with socket, but requires a box wrench, WHICH TAKES more time especially after 25 times.

Good product for hanging items from beams, like rope to hang the person who started this random email-review for everything I buy. This is pure crap and a waste of time. Just remember to use 1/4inch all-thread with fender washers to hold the rope up!
