Green Nest Swing

Bought this swing when we bought a play set to install. The swing was an instant hit with our three toddler grandchildren. It is easy to hang and take down, and they love the sturdy, cozy swing to lie in and look up at the trees. It’s the favorite swing on the set. Better than the trapeze or the tot swing we bought.

We really love the swing it was great for our new playground but we didn't use it always a year long only a couple of times when the kids didn't use it we put it in the shed and in march we hooked it back up and my son who is 33 lbs fell though it and I don't think warranty will replace it which sucks.....

A 5 year old boy calls this his surf swing. Assembly was pretty easy and everything we needed was included in the box. It will hang from a swing set, a porch roof, and probably even a stout tree branch. The lines are long enough that we could hang it pretty close to the ground and hopefully avoid a fall. The swing itself is bigger than I expected and can support 200 pounds according to the box. Great fun for kids!

This nest swing was just the incentive we needed to build a swing set in our back yard. I found some plans online, bought the lumber and parts at Home Depot, and built the set in one day. My three year old couldn't wait to try this nest swing out and it didn't disappoint! He can sit on it holding the ropes or lie on his back or stomach like he's flying. He absolutely loves it. I also love that I can put two (or 3!) kids on it at once and only have to push one swing instead of going back and forth between two kids who can't yet pump! It's well built and made of a mesh material that breathes and will dry quickly if it gets wet. The rim is black but it's mostly a pretty green color that looks nice and won't get too hot in the sun. I can see myself buying this as a gift for hours of entertainment outside. The swing does take some assembly, but it's simple. There are 4 tubes that create the ring of the nest. You simply slide each one through a sleeve in the mesh, then bolt them together using the hardware included. At each connection there is a Velcro flap that hides the metal.

This swing is fantastic! We have four kids, ages 6, 4, and a pair of 2-year-olds. We thought this would be the new swing for the twins, but EVERYONE loves this thing. All four have a great time on it, but it really does fit three better than four. We have found each of our kids sneaking away during a quiet moment to lay down in it, like a hammock. It is a fantastic spot to lay down, look up at the stars or clouds and enjoy a little time of relaxation. Our kids like pushing it, spinning it, etc. Because of the big, sturdy construction, it's great for little hands to push and manipulate. The way it's built, with good seams on the velcro-fastened flaps over the hardware, make this a winner for little fingers--no pinched fingers or hands. This swing is fantastic. Assembly took me 20 minutes, but mostly because I'm a reader of the instructions and I have A LOT of help. If I didn't have the extra help, it probably would have taken five minutes. Assembly is simple, and the folks at Swing N' Slide even include a wrench to tighten the four bolts. If you have more than one kid, do everyone a favor and get this swing hooked up straight away. They'll love it, I promise. If you have an only child, it is still a good way to go if you live in an area where they can play outside a ton. Because it has a solid nest, vs. a web-type nest, building blocks and cars don't fall through, so our kids have been out there with a book, their snap-together building blocks, and their cars and mini-trains. This is a great swing!

This Nest Swing is AWESOME! After some basic assembly, the swing can be hung on any standard swing hangers (Home Depot sells them). My 2.5-year-old son LOVES this swing (check out the attached photos). My wife even sat on it and got a big ol' goofy grin because she was having so much fun. The height of the swing off the ground is adjustable because the top of its attachment ropes are actually chain with carabiners attached. All in all, it's a great addition to our swing set, and I can't recommend it enough.

Our 3 children love this swing. So far it is holding up well. Would have given a 5 star rating, however, the package appeared to be retapped (possibly previously returned and repackaged?) and the tools, hardware and instructions were not included. It was somewhat an inconvenience to have to take an extra trip to store for proper pieces to assemble.
