This shower valve rebuild kit includes a spindle, seats, and universal seat tool to repair your existing valve. Built of solid materials, this valve repair kit is designed for fixing or updating Symmons Temptrol series shower valves. When you rebuild your Temptrol shower valve with this kit, it automatically renews and resets the warranty.

Q:will this kit work with the Symmons origin shower?

A:  Not sure. My system is a Symmons Temptrol valve that was installed in 1995.

A:  Yes it would. This is made for the Symmons Temptrol valve which is the valve that works with the Origins line.

    A:  The TA-10 spindle that is included in this is what you would need that is correct. More than likely though the TA-10 just needs to be cleaned out and not actually replaced.       A:  Depends on how old what you're pulling out it is. So this tool is good for the new install you may also need a Raven 1241 tool to pull out the old.. I bought both was worth it..

              A:  Yes it does. The only tools you would need that are not included in this set are a Phillips head screw driver to remove your trim kit and an adjustable wrench to remove the cap assembly.

                Q:Will this fix a leak coming from the diverter handle port? The valve functions properly and doesnt drip when shut off but leaks during use.

                A:  This will not fix that. In this case you would need to replace the diverter cartridge. If you have an older Temptrol valve the part # is TA-25A If you have the newer Temptrol VersaFlex valve the part # is RTS124 If you are unsure of which valve you have please reach out to our customer service line at 1-800-SYMMONS and we will be able to walk you through figuring out what you need.                   Symmons Temptrol diverter repair kit
                  Worked like a charm. Only thing missing was a tool to remove the diverter cartridge, which is a separate purchase. I used a screw retractor to remove that and it worked just fine. Google the process to learn how to install the parts.
