Product Overview

Uniquely designed for easy, one-handed operation in confined areas, the TEKTON Telescoping Basin Wrench takes the frustration out of under-sink work. Ideal for larger nuts and retaining collars on faucets, supply lines, valves, pipes and drain cups, this wrench is specially designed with an extra-long upper jaw that accommodates sizes from 7/8 in. to 2-1/2 in. outer diameter. As it slides onto the nut, the spring-loaded jaw automatically adjusts to the right size, so there is no trial-and-error hassle. Once in place, it creates a continuous ratcheting action that stays engaged with the nut, eliminating the need to refit after each turn. Pivoting smoothly through 180°, the wrench head has a friction stop that holds it at any angle, allowing you to navigate around obstructions and access hard-to-reach nuts. The four-position telescoping shaft adapts to any situation with the push of a button, locking in place at 10 in. 12-1/4 in. 14-1/2 in. and 17 in. lengths. This extra reach is especially helpful under deep bowl sinks. With a removable 6 in. high-leverage handle, the wrench easily stores in a toolbox or drawer.

How do get the head to rotate

The head flips over to allow you to switch from clockwise to counterclockwise rotation. Once you have the head positioned and gripped around the locking nut, I held it in place with one hand and twisted/torqued with the other hand to grip and spin the locking nut until it was fully tightened.

Great tool that allowed me to get a 1.5” kitchen faucet locking nut tightened up. Other tools wouldn’t reach it under the sink or didnt have a large enough gripping head. This one was perfect!

This basin wrench is a well made tool that fits into the tight space for which I bought it. I got the 1 3/4' nut on the sink drain tight well past where I could turn it with my channel locks which kept slipping off. The next size basin wrench wouldn't fit this space. I recommend this tool.

Really clumsy. Would not grip faucet nuts.Tried on 1 1/2 inch then on smaller plastic ones.Thought I was using it wrong. Too heavy. Finally gave up after handle fell off and hit me in the head ! Turned back to trusty channellocks and once got a good grip removed. Big waste of money.
