it works, liquid ant bait

TERRO - It Works!

Generations of consumers have come to know that the bright orange package stands for “Ant Control.”No matter what type of home pest control challenge you face, TERRO has the solution!

kill the ants you see and the ones you don't, liquid ant bait

Kills the Ants You See & Don't See

Foraging ants take the bait back to the nest. The communal nature of an ant colony allows the bait to be spread, killing the ants you see as well as the ones you don't see.

total population control, liquid ant bait

Total Population Control

Ant baits are designed to slowly spread throughout the entire colony to offer total control in just a few weeks.

attract ants, liquid ant baits

Attracts Ants

Since this is a bait, initially you will see more ants, before they disappear. But it's a good thing! The enticing sugary liquid can then spread through the entire colony.

how liquid ant bait works

How It Works

The active ingredient slowly interferes with the ant’s digestive system, ultimately killing it, but leaving enough time for the ant to go back and share the dose with the rest of the colony.

where to place liquid ant bait

Where to Place

Place near trails, along baseboards, in corners, on counters, under and behind appliances, on windowsills, and other locations where ants are numerous.

Use more liquid bait placements

The More Placements, the Better

Place additional bait stations anywhere they may enter your home. For best results, use multiple placements to ensure a sufficient supply for the ants.

remove attractants, liquid ant bait

Remove Other Attractants

Before placing the bait stations, be sure to remove other sources of food, such as crumbs, sugar and grease spots to prevent attracting ants elsewhere.

monitor liquid ant bait placements

Monitor Placements Regularly

Monitor placements regularly, but do not interfere with the pests or bait.

replace bait placements as needed

Replace Bait As Needed

Replace bait placements when the liquid is depleted or becomes dry.

prevent ants from returning, liquid ant bait

Prevent Ants from Returning

Once the colony is under control, keep placing baits to prevent new colonies from forming.

liquid ant bait attracts and kills all common household ants

Works on Common Household Ants

Liquid ant bait attracts and kills all common, sweet-eating household ants.

control ants indoors and outdoors, liquid ant baits

Control Ants Everywhere

Liquid ant baits can help you target infestations wherever they exist, whether indoors or out.

About This Product

Attract and kill the ants you see and the ones you don't with Terro Liquid Ant Baits. The liquid, which contains borax, is specifically designed to allow worker ants to consume the product, survive long enough to carry the liquid back to the nest. Ants consume the liquid ant bait and return to the nest where they pass it around to the rest of the colony. The active ingredient in the bait slowly interferes with the ants' digestive systems, ultimately killing them. Since this is a bait product, you will initially see more ants as they are attracted to the liquid but don't worry, this is a good thing. After the bait is consumed, insect populations will begin to decline. Complete control may take up to two weeks. For your convenience, Terro Liquid Ant Baits are easy to use and feature a new and improved snap-off tab design no scissors needed. To open the bait, hold the station vertically and twist the new and improved tab. Then place indoors on a flat surface near ant trails and other signs of ant activity. The more bait placements, the better. Be sure to leave the ant baits undisturbed while the ants are actively feeding on it.

Q:Let’s assume that I’m not concerned about risk to pets or surface stains. Is there any benefit to dripping some of the gel from the container onto my counter surface? For example, where I see ants frequently grouping or walking? Thx!

A:  Just put a few traps where you see ants. The ants will find it and make chemical trails leading to it, which other ants will follow. No need to spread it out.

A:  No, do not open the container, spreading the jel out will not improve its effectiveness. Mike

Q:How come at first many ants went inside and now hardly any go inside?

        Answer This Question

A:  The level of ant activity at the bait station may vary over time. This is designed to allow them to enter the bait station, gather the bait, and return with it to the colony to share with other ants. It can take up to two weeks to control an ant colony, depending on its size. If ants are ignoring the bait, then they are not interested in sweet foods.

Q:Since the idea is for the ants to take the gel to the colony. After ingestion do you leave the ants alone if you see them around the gel or nearby area or kill them?

          Answer This Question

A:  We recommend leaving the ants alone so they take bait back to the colony where it will eventually reach the queen.

            It works
I couldn’t get rid off the kitchen ants, tried everything until I tried this product. I applied it on the paths they follow, one hour later I saw a line of ants running in two directions, the morning the job is done, no single one in my kitchen. Usually I don’t write reviews but this product it worth it.

The Ants will die off and disappear
Observe were they are coming from and then open a trap or two and locate them along the ant trail. I tip a little of the fluid out and they really go after the bait, it's like ringing the dinner bell 🔔. After a couple days they are gone.

TERRO INDOOR LIQUID ANT Killer Baits (6 count ) - Did Not Help at all. No ants were trapped. Am very disappointed this time. Has the product been changed or did I receive a bad batch?

Response from Woodstream TeamMay 2, 2024
Thank you for this feedback. These are considered bait stations and not traps. It is intended for ants to feed at the stations and then leave to bring the bait back to the rest of the colony. You may see an increase and decrease in ant activity at the stations during this time. It can take up to two weeks to control a colony, depending on its size.

                Excellent
Excellent traps. I placed trap down but poured some liquid out onto the floor. Few hours like 60 ants having a feast and many walking sick. It's the little black ants obviously coming from under the house. I put one outside too.
