        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for contacting Titan! Our models do not support reversible doors. The door is not designed to flip in upside-down orientation to install as a left-hinge door due to the mechanism built underneath the door frame for the door lock and door sensor. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at service@titan-appliances.com with any additional questions.

Very quiet, attractive, dual-zone wine refrigerator with easy set-up. Make sure that you read the note about the temperature variance of +/- 2 degrees Celsius, which equals a variance of +/- 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit (see photo). To check the temperature of each side, we bought two new refrigerator/freezer thermometers, checked them against each other and against a digital thermometer, and then used the one that was exactly accurate. We found that this wine refrigerator runs about 3 degrees Fahrenheit colder than the set temperature, on both sides (within the variance specified in the note). To attain 45 degrees on the left side and 61 degrees on the right side, we set it to 48 degrees and 64 degrees, respectively (adding 3 degrees to the desired result when setting each side). See photo of the right side, taken with the door closed for accuracy. Delivery and set-up of the unit were easy. The delivery was on time, and on a pallet. Unboxing it was straightforward, and it was in perfect condition, with all of its parts. We screwed in one of the four leveling legs a bit further to be all the way in, like the other three legs. Moving the unit from the garage, where it was delivered, to its desired location on the basement level took two strong people. Once it was in place, we checked it for level, front to back and side to side, and found that it was level, with all four legs screwed-in all the way. The two door handles were installed easily with a Phillips head screwdriver. When we plugged it in, we were pleased to find that it is very quiet. This unit does not have to be built in. The sides are black, like some other refrigerators with stainless steel fronts. When it is installed as a built-in unit, the minimum clearance requirements, specified in the manual, are at least 2 to 3 inches in the back, and 0.20 (1/5) inch on the top and on each side. This beautiful refrigerator works well, and it is so quiet that we do not notice it at all.

I had a small 12 bottle wine fridge that was thermo-electric. This is good if you don't have a lot of wine and your house is generally cool. I'm not going to run my air conditioner all day while I'm away to keep my wine cool. So, I looked for a large cooler that used a condenser like a real refrigerator. This model was delivered on a palate and it took two of us to get it up the few stairs into my house. I put it in my laundry room because it's too large for my kitchen. I placed it 6 inches from the wall to give it proper ventilation. It says to plug it in and turn it on for 24 hours before putting the wine inside to stabilize the temperature. I'm not sure why, because the temperature will raise while you're putting your wine in. I can see leaving it unplugged for 24 hours to let the oil and coolant settle, but it was always upright on a palate. The door handles were easy to install. The digital readout lets you set the temperature for each side, but it doesn't tell you the current temperature. You can change from F to C, turn on the light, and put it in ECO mode where the display is off and the LED is off. There is also a light that tells you it's cooling. I put in 15 bottles on each side, with the champagne on the bottom. I had both sides set at 55F. It took over a week to get the temperature to 55F. I had to set it at 50F because it stopped cooling at 60F when I had it set at 55F. I checked the temperature with digital, analogue, and leaving a glass of water overnight and checking the temperature of the water to see if in fact that the wine was at 55F and the ambient air in the cooler was warmer. It's been two days and it's holding at 55F when set at 50F. I did email customer service (a little annoyed that there's not a number to call) about the temperature. They got back within a day with questions and suggestions. It did in fact resolve the temperature issue while I was waiting for the email response. I'm not giving it a 5 star rating because: 1. The top shelves on both sides are useless unless you have very skinny bottles. 2. There is not digital readout to let you know the temperature. My old one had that. 3. You have to set it 5F lower than what you want. For a $1,200 wine cooler, it should not have these issues.

Nice Two (French) Door Wine Fridge
This dual wine fridge is excellent for wine enthusiasts who want to keep their wines at different temperatures. Each side has its own gauge to control the internal unit temp. It comes by freight to your home and is 35 inches tall and 2ft wide by 2ft deep plus 2 inches for the door handles in dimension. It requires only a few steps to use. Essentially, it is a plug-in and play fridge. It holds 42 bottles. It also has a nice and sleek stainless steel design with easy to open doors. There are two locks, one for each of the dual zones. The best thing about this fridge are the dual zones. I can have my whites on one side and my reds on the other. Like many other wine refrigerators, they only handle generic wine bottles if you want them to get to full capacity. This fridge is the same. It is design for standard 750ml bottles. The racks also slide in and out super easy and do give you a little more space in between bottles so that labels do not condensate, scratch or lift. The noise level is very quiet. Much more quiet than previous wine refrigerators I have had in the past. It is nearly silent all of the time. It does NOT keep the bottles to a true temperature. I put two different digital thermometers in the rack to test it and it was at the same degree (50). And it tested at 55 degrees. So it runs slightly warmer than what it is intended to. The cord length is decent at 6ft. So it does allow you to move the fridge near or around a standard electrical outlet. Never use an extension cord! I have mine fully stocked and ready to go. I have used other Titan Refrigerators and have been pleased with them. This is no different. The lighting on this unit does work, but that is only for display or showing off your bottles when you have company. I don't turn on the light often, because that defeats the purpose of wine storage. Otherwise you may as well just put your wine bottle in a traditional refrigerator and drink as needed. Additionally, this is a refrigeration unit. It uses cooling technology and a motor. It is built for what is likely short term wine storage (less than 5 years). It is not a humidifier, nor does it check for air quality. A wine cellar it is not. A temperature driven fridge it is. If you are a wine nut, you will find faults (size, rack space, rack tilt, internal lighting, whatever it is that sets you off, etc). But this fridge has few. The warranty on this Titan limited and only one year. I like it!

          Time to Uncork and Relax
Elegant solution for the wine enthusiast! Absolutely love the dual temperature zones—perfect for keeping the red and white wines at different temperatures. Alternatively, you could use one side for serving wines and the other for storage…if you were planning on opening it frequently. Currently, I am using this as a stand-alone wine fridge, but when I move to my new house I plan on installing it under the counter. To provide proper clearance, you will need a space that accommodates 35" high, 30" deep, and 24" wide. There are two leveling feet in the front that were easy to adjust as any other. There was just about no assembly required for this unit. It was very easy to take out of the box. All I had to do was attach the two handles via the 4 phillips-head screws already located in the doors. I plugged in the unit and everything worked flawlessly! This unit has about the same amount of noise as my mini fridge or deep freezer. Definitely noticeable when the room is quiet, but it is equivalent to your typical hum of your cooler appliance. It fits standard wine bottles, but I had trouble with some of the bottles that have a wider base. The top rack is a different size and slightly smaller than the rest. So watch your wine labels when using the top rack. While the very bottom of the wine fridge is nice and open to accommodate your wider bottles such as champagne and what not. The instruction manual shows how to store your bottles and what sizes it will accommodate. My top left shelves unfortunately do not look like they were installed level. It does not affect my wine storage, but it is a little bothersome if you are OCD. At this price point, I would have expected better quality control. The temperature stays stable and seems accurate when I checked it with a stand alone thermometer. The temperature for each side was easy to adjust with the touch panel. The LEDs are a nice way to make your wine bottles “glow,” but I wish they were located throughout the cooler, rather than just the top. Additionally, you can turn the lights on/off or put it on energy conservation mode, which turns off all of the LEDs except for the Celsius/Fahrenheit. However, I find this button pretty useless because LEDs are already pretty conservative. I wish that this feature would keep the LEDs while the door is shut and turn on when you open the door; unfortunately, this is not the case. Every time you push a button, there is a pretty audible beep that I wish could be disabled, but I do not see an option. There is a “safety lock” but I find this rather pointless. I thought it was going to be a legit key to prevent theft. However, the safety key is basically a glorified hex tool. I think at this price point, it would be nice to actually lock up your nice bottles of wine, not just employ a simple, defeatable safety lock. Overall, I am impressed with this wine cooler and like how it can be stand alone or installed under a counter. Bear in mind that the top and sides are NOT stainless steel if you plan on using it as a stand alone. Due to the capacity, simplicity and dual-zone function of this fridge, I would highly recommend it to the wine novice and even the wine enthusiast!

          Big, Gorgeous
I'm reviewing Model TT-CWWC2121DZ. This is a large cooler. Providing for leveling and recommended clearances, you'll need a space that's at least 35" high, 30" deep, and 24" wide. The owners' manual contains eight pages of safety and installation guidelines, four pages of instruction, a page on maintenance, a Trouble-Shooting page, and a Specifications page. This is my first compressor/refrigeration cooler; two previous 'thermo-electric' units failed to impress and failed after two years. Hopefully, this cooler will last as long as a conventional refrigerator [which it replaces as a wine cooler]. Pros A true refrigeration unit True dual-zone; separate doors seal against a common vertical partition. Looks ... handles, clear doors. Weight Auto defrost Carbon filter Cons To achieve my desired temperatures, I have to set the setpoints 5-6 degrees lower; e.g. for 51F, I have to set 45F. Even with the circulating fans, it took five days, with pre-chilled bottles, to reach the 'equilibrium'. I guess this is a sign of a 'minimal essential' compressor design. There's no RH meter; should I, or should I not add a bowl of water? The locks are a little 'mickey mouse', but I won't be using anyway. Weak warranty. The top shelves are tighter clearance than the rest. To seat the shelves completely back, you have to exert unreasonable force; on the bright side, you don't need this last 1/2" for the doors to close and seal.

Attractive design, but a few flaws
Wine coolers are a bit of an extravagance, but if you have a nice collection of wines that you'd like to enjoy over many years, they are somewhat of a necessity. They also add a bit of sophistication to any home. This Titan cooler is a French door dual zone model, which is ideal if you'd like to keep your reds and whites at different temperatures (really only appropriate for serving, as they should all be stored around the same temperature). The temperature range available in each compartment is extremely broad. I also really like the attractive wood racks with stainless steel accents, as well as the stainless steel doors. The top and sides are not stainless steel, and given that this model is made to either be used standalone or installed in a cabinet, I can understand why the material wasn't used where it might not be seen. You also get a bright white LED light, in case you'd like to show off your bottle collection. This light can be shut off with the press of a button. But not all is perfect with this cooler in either design or function, and it really should be given the price: (1) the front doors are slightly misaligned. (2) the top rack will not fit many standard-sized red bottles, which is clearly noted in the manual. Why didn't Titan just design this from the start to be the correct size? Titan probably should not market this as a 46-bottle cooler if the top rack isn't designed for anything but white wine bottles. (3) the compressor is a bit loud - at least as loud as my full-size kitchen fridge, which is a shame, given that I've placed the Titan in the dining room as a showpiece. (4) the worst problem, and this is one that wine rack manufacturers have been very slow to catch on to, is that many red wine vintners are now using a larger-diameter burgundy-style bottle for just about every type of red wine, and Titan is not immune. You simply CANNOT place these bottles on anything but the middle slot of each rack, as the racks will not close otherwise because the bottle hits the rack above. This is a huge design flaw given that a model like this is targeted at sophisticated wine collectors. The racks appear to be designed around standard Bordeaux bottles. Simply put, a brand-new wine cooler released in 2016 should not be designed around Bordeaux bottles, and this is a brand-new model, so new in fact that it's not even listed on Titan's website on the date I'm posting this review. It seems that if Titan carved out the sides of the wood slats on either side of the rack, the bottles would sit low enough to fit, as they do in the middle slot. But alas, that will have to wait for a revised model. And all of this really calls into question the value proposition of this particular model. To fit more Burgundy bottles, I removed the top rack, which can be done using two flat-tipped screwdrivers to unlatch the hook on either side of the rack. If you have an existing wine collection and you know you don't have a lot of burgundy-style bottles, then you'll probably be quite happy with this cooler. The dual doors really set it apart from other models, and my guess is that this will be the new trend in high-end wine coolers. Even if it's not necessary for storage, it looks great and allows you to prep wine bottles for serving on one side, or alternatively store other beverages that should be served warmer or cooler than wine.

          Not enough room between shelves
The unit came well packaged and was in good condition. It cools well. The only problem is there is not enough room between the shelves and containers any larger than a standard soda or beer can will not fit, especially on the middle shelf just below the temperature controls
