The TRIO bracket is the 90 ̊ 3-arm corner bracket of our pergola systems. 2 TRIO's to go up against a structure or 4 Trio's for a standalone pergola, or 8 TRIO's to make a cube for the Hammock. With endless possibilities, every pergola can be unique.

Note our brackets are made to fit dressed lumber. 4x4 wood is in fact 3.5"x3.5" - the industry simply calls it 4x4. 6x6 wood is in fact 5.5"x5.5" - the industry simply calls it 6x6
All of our brackets require only 2 screws per side (every set of 8 holes), we leave the other holes open for future accessories
Included: 2x TRIO, 1-1/2" Pan Rob/Phil combo drive 304 S.S Wood screws with Black plastic head caps

A: Hi there, Our brackets are engineered to build level square or rectangle pergolas. However, some of our customers have customized their pergola to have slopes and/or roofs, and images of these builds are available on our Instagram and Facebook sites. Since we do not do any installations we are unable to offer any advice on the building process of a customized pergola. The customer’s builds that have installed roofs had made sure their roofing elements are below the load capacity and have done so at their own discretion.

Q:How far in on the trio 3 brackets does the wood go in? In other words if I have a width of 8 1/2 feet in between posts, can I use an 8 ft 4x4 in between not sure if they go all the way into the bracket or not.

A: Hi Vinnie, On the inside of all our structural brackets there are tabs welded 7” into the cavity for the 4x4 brackets and 9" into the cavity for the 6x6 brackets. This will prevent the wood posts from touching inside the brackets and will create a void between the posts to allow for water drainage. This will also prevent the wood posts from passing completely through the brackets.

A: Hi Gerry, The max single span of wood we recommend for both our 4x4 and 6x6 bracket is 12ft. Once you go past 12ft we recommend building a double pergola. Some of our customers have gone past our 12ft span while using the 6x6 brackets and have added our 45 degree knee brackets to help support the lumber and have not had any issues but did so at their own discretion.

Ease of build, looks amazing!

Took me and pops about 3 hours. My patio is 3’x3’ squares of concrete on Adobe that’s shifted. We had to secure and level the footing first, build the pergola 2nd and drop the huge beast into the footing. Ultimately it worked out and now looks amazing.

Poor quality

For the price, you’d expect better quality. Their return policy is also unreasonable and their customer service is not helpful.

Hi John, our 4x4 brackets consist of 14-gauge and the 6x6 brackets are 12-gauge North American steel respectively. Our extensive outdoor powder coating ensures your pergola will look its best and stand up to nature’s adverse and challenging conditions and provide outstanding functionality now and for years to come. Regarding the return policy, as you purchased through Home Depot you would have to reach out to them regarding their policy.

Does not fit on pressure treated wood

None of their brackets fit on pressure treated wood.

Hello Chris, as noted on our website as well as Home Depots website, our brackets are made to fit dressed lumber, 4x4 wood is in fact 3.5 in. x 3.5 in. - the industry simply calls it 4x4. The pressure treated process will cause the wood to expand because it is wet. Lumber MUST be fully dried and dressed to be able to slide into the brackets with ease.
