5.75 in. 0-Compartment Padded Belt Heavy Duty Buckle Back Support, Black is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Got this belt when my old padded belt started shredding. I was worried about the plastic clip, but after weeks of using this daily for work I'm not. The clip is highest quality plastic I've seen and very thick. The padding on the belt is also thick and comfortable. This works perfectly with the toughbuilt clip pouches, which have become my favourite pouches. The belt is comfortable enough that it stays on the whole day. If I'm talking a break, I simply unclip the pouches and rest. Slowly, the other workers are starting to switch to this system after seeing the flexibility and convenience.

Designed to work with all ClipTech pouches this belt forms the central part of that system. As such it needs to be sturdy, comfortable and reliable. Have no concerns it checks all the boxes. The material appears to be that ballistic type of woven polyester and it is thick and stiff meaning it will last a long, long time. The amount of padding is excellent providing great comfort even with loaded pouches attached but without allowing unplanned movement as some less well engineered belts do. Putting the belt on and adjusting it is straightforward; the first fastening is a large Velcro area and that is followed up with a big chunky buckle and adjustable heavy duty belt. The belt can be cut to size to prevent having loose straps flailing around. All the materials are synthetic and good quality. The belt will fit anyone with waist sizes from 32 inches right up to 48 inches with the use of the zip on/off padded belt extension. Attaching the ClipTech pouches is easy and they are locked in place for security – see photos.

I have lower back issues and decided to order this newer version with padded back support. It made a big difference for my back and is very comfortable. It comes fully adjustable from 32” to 48” waist lines. I’m at 34” waist and I wear my tool belt pretty tight. Even after the adjustment, there is no bulging overlap of the belt support material. I use 3 different Toughbuilt tool pouches with this belt, the project pouch, the drill holster, and the large plier pouch. Rarely do I have all three on, but in any configuration, this belt is super comfortable and supports the added tool weight nicely. The materials used to make the belt are durable and fairly easy to clean. I use a little dish soap and warm water, wipe or scrub it down and let it air dry. Like new and ready to go. I use it daily and am very satisfied. Nice product and value. I highly recommend this belt. I hung up my leather tool belt a while ago and won’t go back.

I'm also able to put it on in a heartbeat. The snap is plastic, but it seems to be grossly oversized for its task, which is what probably gives it the durability rating for this type of use. Being part of a tool system means that it works perfectly with all the quick-release accessories that need a belt of specific thickness and width to hold securely. I've worn this belt several times for around 3 hours each, never once developing a hot spot on my hips.

The loops are on velcro strips so if you are bearing very heavy weight, the velcro can come undone, but they are totally fine for tools or supplies. the padding is comfortable on my back and sides. This is a comfortable tool belt, and it's perfect for smaller guys since you can take off a portion of the padded belt to make it shorter and even better that it doubles as a back support.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs to be improved I like that the length is easily adjustable and the clip makes it convenient to take off and put on pouches. I'm giving it however only 2 stars due to the heavy padding not being breathable so I feel hot and sweaty around the waist after a while. Also, the padding that cushions the belt clips, seems too bulky as it gets in the way when I need to bend at the waist. The design needs to be improved to have balance between functionality and comfort.

The review will be for the Padded Belt, Project Pouch, Small Pliers Pouch, and the Cliptech Hubs as they comprise a logical combination. The belt is easy to configure for the waist size, simple to clip on and shed, and supports the back similar to the back belts sold. Installing the Project Pouch was not difficult. Hardest task was removing the backing from the clip. It can hold the standard items of hammer, tape measure, nuts and screw, is sturdy and easy to clean. Adding the Small Pliers Pouch was not an issue. It held lineman's pliers as well as needle nose simultaneously, and the nose opens to accommodate longer pliers. The same clip can be used for all the pouches, so can remove easily any pouch that would not be needed at the time. I used the additional clips to fasten a pouch for an electric drill quite easily.

The belt itself is wide for support and the big snap buckle makes connecting the belt fast and easy. You can adjust the belt to length; directions and a metal clasp are provided to make the end of the shortened belt finished and smooth. There are a four D-rings on movable velcro connectors for a shoulder harness connection. BUT - You can also flip them over and use them as a D-ring attachment points, like for keys on a carabiner. The advantage of this belt system is you can easily and quickly and securely swap-in or swap-out holster or tool/parts pouches. So rather than being stuck with a always attached drill holster, for example, you can attach that component in seconds at the job. I ordered up a few extra belt connectors so I can always leave them on the belt in several locations, plus anything can break so get a few more now. (The connectors have two holes on the back side so they can be wall mounted; so the pouch or holder can be securely connected to its mate either in the van or the workshop when not on the belt.) With my old leather belt, you had to cinch up the waist, standard belt buckle with two pins. It was take a deep breath and do the belt - not pleasant and a bit of a bother. The new belt has a velcro overlap than a big snap buckle. Quick and easy - and most important - you can put the belt on WITHOUT any pockets. That's helpful if your pouches or holder are heavily loaded for your next job. The wide belt does afford some back relief which is appreciated. In fact, you can just leave the belt on and connect/disconnect pouches as needed during the day. How many times when I dropped my belt did a few tools or parts go flying - Not here as you take off each item and place it where you want. And, don't forget you can purchase the shoulder harness if that's useful to you. .... Wish they had this system years ago....
