Project Pouch with Hammer Loop, Black

This is a nice pouch for small jobs. The bigger compartment is great for extra screws and nails, and is big enough to get your hand in easily. There is a metal hammer holder that I like much better than leather or web loops that are always folded shut when you try to drop your hammer in them. There are also 2 small slots that are sized for a carpenters pencil or screwdriver, and a metal clip to hold a tape measure. One point to add is the attachment point that goes on the belt is very difficult to open, which is good as it will not be liable loosen, but mine required a small screwdriver to pop open the latching mechanism.

This pouch is made with what appears to be high quality materials. This review will cover the features listed on the product description. The clip tech hub attaches to your belt and the quick release on the pouch seems to work quite well so far without accidental release. I would recommend you look at the 2" leather belt that The Home Depot offers or something like it to properly support the pouch and tools. The 6 pockets and loops provide adequate storage for the typical items a trim carpenter uses as one example of who might want the pouch. Can't comment on whether framers would find it as practical since I don't do much of that. As noted, seams on the main pocket are hidden and that is nice feature to protect them and avoid tools snagging on them. The welting at the top of the pouch seems well sewn. The pliable plastic protection at the bottom of the pouch seems like it will help protect the pouch as it is set aside from time to time and extend the life of the pouch. I have seen many similar pouches at residential construction sites used by professional trim carpenters and this one appears to be as good as any I have seen. Price seems quite reasonable for the quality. Of course, time will be the ultimate test of durability and usefulness but my initial impressions are quite positive. With a place for strip nails, hammer, tape measure, torpedo level. side cutter or end cutter pliers and a block of wood for adjusting crown and other molding location, this pouch meets my needs quite well. All four tape measures I own slide on and off the provided loop with relative ease. Only one brand fits a bit tight but that is not because of the pouch design. It is more about the clip on the back of the tape.

The pouch is well built and should last for years. The package was shipped somewhat quickly. The only issue I had was figuring out how to operate the disconnect mechanism.

I was looking for a back brace only, then I stumbled on to this system. I can't believe how cool it is. The construction is super durable & seems like it'll last a lifetime. I was skeptical of the plastic latch thing, but it seems super thick & durable. It clicks on in a very positive way & removes very easily. I got a couple different pouches, this one & the one for tape measure/utility knife... comes with a notebook & a construction pencil... Love the metal buckle back brace/tool belt & the pouch system is unbelievable. Put the pouch on that suits your needs & take them off for when you want back support. The value for price is amazing & I think everyone should buy one for themselves or the handy-man in their lives. Super affordable & great Father's Day/Birthday/Christmas/Just Because gift.

I love this pouch, I can take out from my belt so easily and put it back, i will to try to find more products like this...!
