Q:Can this tape be applied to loose vinyl siding for removal once it is warm enough to slide the siding back in?

A:  Hello Karyn - The Tyvek® Tape is engineered specifically for adhere to the Tyvek® wrap products. Will it stick to vinyl siding, it should, but the problem could be removing it later.

    A:  Im not sure if they make one specifically for this tape. I am sure you could pick up one of the packing tape rolls with a dispenser and use that dispenser on this tape.

      A:  Hello Brian - No, but I believe the core size of the roll is the same as packaging or duct tape. If so, you may be able to use a packing tape dispenser.

        A:  It is meant for sealing house wrap seams. It is not a sturdy tape and you can rear it with your hands. It is also not super sticky. I would not trust it for that application.

          A:  Hello Tomtom - The Tyvek® Tape is intended to stick to the Tyvek® WRB products and it has not been tested on other materials. We would recommend using an aluminum foil tape on the foil faced insulation.

              A:  No silicone on it that I'm aware of. The side that does not stick is very slick, and the side that sticks is quite strong which allows for a strong hold to the house wrap to prevent water enter through the house wrap joints. Just make sure to push down on the tape so it doesn't have any air pockets, and make sure to overlap the house wrap.
