Melamine looks like elegant ceramic dinnerware with a fraction of the weight. Throw away those flimsy paper plates and replace them with something as sturdy as it is light weight. You don't have to hand wash these dishes (unless you want to), these Melamine Dinnerware Sets are Dishwasher safe. Not suitable for microwave or oven use. Each box of Designer Melamine Dinnerware comes with a place setting for 4- 4 in. x 10.5 in. Round Dinner Plates, 4 in. x 8.25 in. Round Salad Plates, and 4 in. x 7.5 in. Round Dinner Bowls. Plate broke
They looked nice have some stains. Plates are not chip resistant. The large plate broke by a stainless steel glass falling on top of it.

    Although the quality of the dishes was good, the salad plates did not come in the four colors. There were two of the same color. I contacted the distributor (TTUCorp) and they did not have any replacements. I returned the dishes.
