Is this attic hatch fireproof? If not, do you sell one that is fireproof?
Asked by: sister
This product is not fireproof, but does have a flame retardant added to it. This flame retardant gives it an ignition temperature of 698 degrees F. This is higher ignition temperature than most wood material found in construction today.

Once you install this, how do you get into the attic without smashing the raised walls that surround the attic opening?
Asked by: PeeArrow
The raised walls were intended to keep insulation from falling through the opening. I did not use these. Instead, i just glued a piece of Fiberglass batt insulation on top of the block. This provided the same outcome.
