      First Class Quality
These bags held leaves, grass and pine needles from November of 2022 until August of 2023! Made it through the Colorado winter and spring rains. When I was finally able to remove sod to set up a new garden area, I had plenty of compostable materials to use in my garden boxes. They were covered with a tarp for some of the time and cardboard other times. They did get wet but held up.

These are the weakest refuse bags I’ve encountered
These bags very light weight. These are lined with paper bags a lot thinner than paper grocery bags as a point of reference. Most tears from pressing down on material inside, but some tore just from trying to open them up or lift them up with not a lot of weight inside. They should be OK with leaves but again gravity fill do not try to overfill or compress. Please be prepared to buy some duck tape or similar to wrap around these bags if you intend to do anything, but gravity fill them

They are manufactured to tear easily
Seems like quality has gone down. These bags tear easily when packing with leaves. Also I noticed they are packaged with slits already at the edge as I show in the picture. They are pre-set to tear easily. Frustrating.

            Good choice for yard bags
We bought these yard bags to use for grass clippings and leaves. The bags are double-lined, so we didn't have any issues with the bag tearing or ripping. As long as you don't overfill these, I don't think you'll have any issues.

I have used Home Depot lawn and leaf bags for 20 years
I have used Home Depot lawn and leaf bags for 20 years. Over that time, the quality, thickness of material, and size has remained constant, kind of surprising because so many other things you buy have degraded in quality over the past several years. We have a lot of trees around our yard and these bags get used a lot, especially in the fall. I have occasionally stuffed them to where they are almost too heavy to carry, but they usually don't break. If the bottom gets too wet, they will break. If you grab them from the top with a heavy load, they will tear. If you put in sharp tree branches, the branches can poke holes in the paper. But if you keep those things in mind, they work fine. I also use these bags as rugs in my garden shed.
