A:  Hello, if they don't remove the drain plug located at the bottom part of the planter water can be filled up to the top of the planter. Thank you.

      A:  Hello, yes by placing gravel or rocks that are irregular shape will cover the hole preventing dirt from going through holes, you can also use plastic mesh. Thank you.

          This Planter
          I love this planter. We have neighborhood cats that sometimes lurked in the garden when my birdbaths were placed on the ground. So I inverted this Sonata planter, and it makes for a great stable pedestal to place my birdbath. This 36-inch tall planter was one of the tallest I could find and so attractive too!

            These planters were exactly what I was looking for ! They are well made and substantial. They look great on the front patio filled with colorful flowers. They gave me a great tip in the nursery to fill the planters 2/3 with bark mulch and then potting soil for flowers as the flowers roots do not go very deep. It would be different if I was going to plant shrubs of course. I am so pleased with this purchase!!

            Glad I finally bought this, great price compared similar products!
            I honestly love this pot, got it for some green by our front door and the height is perfect with our door and window setup. I love that it's made from recycled tires, it definitely smelled like them for at least a couple weeks, might even still smell like it but I don't notice. Also I put in a smaller pot so I wouldn't have to put in as much dirt and so I can move it easier if I wanted. Also gives a little flair at the top of the container. Since it's made from tires it's sturdy without being too heavy like ceramic but not flimsy and weak like plastic. We live in FL so I'm not worried about the sun/heat rotting like it would a plastic container.

                  The planter is very sturdy and has a good weight to it. Also has a drain plug on the bottom you can take out or leave in. Love the shape and simplicity of it. I would buy more but it’s pricey.
