AnswersYes mine were. just tap slightly on one end and the slide right out. However why would you want to. if you are installing them at the bottom as I did and they will be covered by concrete I would leave them on for extra support to keep from moving which I not sure if they would.

This is a good sturdy post but I wish it was about a foot shorter there are so many basements that are 5 to 6 feet...... I just took my saw and cut one foot off and welded another plate on the bottom and it worked perfectly..
