Questions & Answers

can it be used on stained glass to prevent a small crack from getting bigger?
ByJul 1, 2026
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

Titebond III will leave a brown glue line that may be very visible. Try using a very thin CA glue such as Titebond Instant Bond Thin. When cured it leaves a crystal clear joint. Recommend trying it on a scrap piece or out of the way area to see if it performs as expected.

Can this be used on squeaky stairs
          ByJun 12, 2026
          1 Answer |
          Answer This Question

Titebond III will work on gaps that are up to 6 thousandths of an inch. Most squeaking is caused by movement of the wood against nails or rubbing of wood-on-wood having gaps that are larger than that. "Fixing" the squeak is usually done with screws to lock the wood in place or using construction adhesive alone or with a block of wood to hold the gapped boards to keep them from further movement the later method would require access to the underside of the stairs.

Will this glue stick to an interior wall ?
                ByApr 12, 2026
                1 Answer |
                Answer This Question

This will depend on what is on the interior wall. If the wall is drywall that is not painted, no issues. If the wall is painted with flat latex paint, then again, should be no issues. If the wall is painted with a glossy epoxy or acrylic paint, some adhesion issues may occur and sanding with 80 grit sandpaper to remove the gloss will increase adhesion.

Love it! This was a repurchase. Use this for all my wood-working needs when I need extra glue up time.

This glue is the standard for a reason. This stuff just works super well as long as you follow the instructions. I highly recommend it for any of your wood related projects and probably more.

Titebond III is my go to wood glue since it is suitable for projects that may be outdoors. Waterproof. I got this gallon to keep refilling my smaller bottle for wood working projects. Good value compared to buying smaller bottles. Strong bond.
                  by
I glued 3 - 8 ft tall by 3 ft wide intricate wooden trellises together with only this glue ( and some pocket screws in the main frame). Some extremely gusty winds caused them to topple over. Several of the pieces broke off, with the actual woodbreaking, not the glue bond. Bond is definitely stronger than the wood.

Applied within the past month. So far, the product is performing as expected. Initially, I researched the original Titebond, which, based on my experience, performed its job superbly. Titebond 'original' is mainly for 'indoor' applications. At the store, I saw both 'water resistant' and 'waterproof'. I chose this product because my application is often exposed to wet conditions. My mindset was that the product would experience hot /cold temperature swings. Why skimp because of cost when you need something that "has to do" its job? Still need to glue the second from the top slat, can't reach it yet

Simply the one of the best wood glues you can by. Allows for additional set up time for complicated pieces to get them just right while clamping. The choice of professionals.

This wood glue is awesome, it works very well. It actually holds like an automotive or gorilla glue hold super secure and tight.
