Is the glue paintable? Also what is the color when dry?
Asked by: JN
Yes. When dry it is a tan to light brown. Paint will cover it, stain will not

I am laminating strips of cedar together to make a curved hand rail and the glue is binding up the pieces wonderful but make sure you give it about 12 hours to dry. I am also putting in screws to as added strength. I hope it last outdoors.

I use the II glue regularly and like it. My old bottle of III seemed to dry out quickly (get clumpy) - don't know why - so I hadn't purchased any to replace it. Purchased this for a vanity top for its waterproof characteristics. I'm gluing an oak backsplash onto the vanity top I'm building. More decorative than functional. The bathroom has wood wainscoting so splashes won't matter, but the oak backsplash behind a mosaic tile top will look nicer. Probably an overkill to use III. Maybe over time as water seeps through the grout, it might be better to use the III.

I've started using Titebond III, because then I don't have to worry about whether the project will be exposed to water, and the cost difference isn't great. And I typically don't use a bottle in a year, so I really don't need more than 1 open bottle at a time.

I have been using Titebond II for quite a while for my wood projects and it worked very well. I bought Titebond III this time because it has a longer setup time, which I will need for my next projects. I regard Titebond products as the best glue for wood and I recommend it.

After I ran out I picked up a different, cheaper brand from another store because I needed to finish the project and was very disappointed. I made a special trip and bought another bottle of Titebond. It cost a little more, but it's definitely worth it.

This is the only wood glue that I use for both interior and exterior wood working. Did they change the color from beige to white? I wanted to purchase a gallon container but Home Depot did not have Titebond III in the gallon container in the store. Only Titebond II.

The board came out really great for my first attempt and it is strong! I dropped the board a few times to see if it would break and it held up perfectly. Great quality glue.
