A: Hi, Kathy! Thanks so much for your question. The spark plug for this unit is Briggs & Stratton part #692051. Thanks!
A: Hi, Teddy! Thanks for your question. This unit comes equipped with self-propel technology, so when you pull the self-propel-drive bar to the handle and hold it, it will engage the self-propel. To disengage the self-propel-drive, simply release the self-propel drive bar. The maximum self-propel-drive speed is fixed. To reduce the speed, increase the space between the self-propel-drive bar and the handle. At any time, you can also adjust the self-propel cable by turning the adjustment nut counterclockwise to loosen the cable adjustments, adjust the tension on the cables by pulling them back or pushing them forward and holding that position. Note: Push the cables toward the engine to increase the traction; pull the cables away from the engine to decrease the traction. Finally, turn the adjustment nut clockwise to tighten the cable adjustments. You can view more information on page 20 of the manual at: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/d5/d555c3de-5635-4bbf-8ea6-2fa2e3694a1c.pdf. Thanks!
A: You may be holding both of the control bars along the top when starting ?
A: Hi David! Thanks for your question. Changing the engine oil is not required, but you have the option to if you ever want to. We recommend checking the engine-oil level before each use and just top off oil as needed. You can view more information on page 18 of the manual at: https://www.toro.com/getpub/182751. Thanks!
A: Seemed strange to me also but apparently they are confident enough in their engine and the lubricant that the oil will last the lifetime of the mower. You do have to add oil if its low. I will say that I have never had a Briggs and Stratton engine fail. Years ago I had one that was old when I got it and I did have problems with cables. I quit changing the oil hoping it would die so i could get a new one. It just kept going. I finally gave it away.
