    A:  Tia, Thank you for asking. This birdbath is 19.8 pounds without the water in the basin. To answer your question... it depends on the wind force. A heavy cement bird bath which weighs about 75 pounds would fare better if the wind is a huge concern. This Torrie birdbath is a lighter weight bird bath that is made of Envirostone, and is hand finished. It is easy to move about in the yard, or to store during the harshest of weather. But not ideal for heavy wind.                   Torri Birdbath
                  Good looking birdbath. However, only after a few months the paint inside the bowl has started to chip. Will it hold up during the winter? We shall see. Would not recommend. Poor quality for the way it will look in a few months.

The Torrie Birdbath is not made of cement (or we couldn't ship it, it is made from Envirostone, which according to the Instruction Manual must be protected from frost, pooling water at the base or snow. It needs to be stored inside during any harsh winter weather, or heavy rains. It is designed to be easy to move and store as needed.
