This dehumidifier has an auto-restart function that allows it to resume operation with the previous settings after a power outage. You can use this dehumidifier in a continuous mode by selecting the continuous operation function on the control panel or the remote control. You will need to connect a drain hose (not included) to the drain port at the back of the unit and place the other end in a suitable drain outlet. A:  Do not have a sound energy meter but normal fan speed is not distracting on phone calls , normal conversation, listening to TV etc. Turbo level is noticable but not impossible to carry on normal life activities in the area where it is operating.
