What a mess!!!
Read instructions - seemed simple - pull the tab it opens both cans and off you go. Instead - the tab was hard to pull, one side broke off, finally opened it up - one rank started to leak immediately into the box, the other didn't even open. I started spraying only the brown goo and ended up ripping the tanks out and manually screwing the nozzles back on.

    Chemical A ran out.
I really loved this product! I watched the dvd and followed all the instructions. I made sure all the temperatures were within the limits prescribed and everything went well and I was very happy. The reason I am giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 is because chemical A ran out before chemical B did. I bought two of these 600 packs and both of them had this same problem. On both packs I made sure that both valves for the chemicals were open all the way, that the hoses were tight but not too tight so there were no leaks, and made sure that the hoses were never kinked. I believe that if both packs I bought used the chemicals in a better ratio so they run out at the same time I probably could have finished all the outside walls of my basement. Overall I would highly recommend this product. My basement already feels like it is at a more constant temperature, it is sealed up, and looks great.

Thank you for posting your feedback on the DAP Touch 'n Foam Pro System 600 Kit. These kits are filled with sufficient material to dispense a minimum of 600 board feet worth of delivered foam (when properly applied). After achieving a full evacuation of the 600+ board feet of delivered foam, there will always be residual chemical in one or both tanks. This condition is normal and expected. Should you wish to discuss this with us, please feel free to reach out to DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477. DAPFoam

Theory is great, application and quality didnt come through
I needed a little more product for a large product and thought I'd give this brand a try. While applying this stuff is never "easy" and you need to be careful with temperatures and keeping everything flowing and clean, this product struggled from the beginning and turned into a mess for the garbage can. The tanks started off strong for all of a minute or so before the B product (which is a nasty liquid until properly mixed) started leaking from the tank threads and quickly messing up the pressurization. I eventually got the leak under control and blocked with putty but by then the tank had lost the pressure needed to adequately mix. The final product never got the right mix and turned into slimy goo that will not cure. Its going to take hours to clean it out and start over. I think had the tank not been defective (or I'd been able to tell in time to return them and not start it flowing) it would have been effective. It was for about a minute before things went south.

Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience with Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 600 Kit. Based on your commentary regarding the "leaking" that you describe, it is like that the hose line was not properly connected. The most common causes for this condition are cross-threading, not applying sufficient torque to ensure a seal and/or over-torqueing, which can crush the fitting: "Tighten hose fittings with wrench provided. Do not overtighten". The texture/consistency issues that you describe can result from the product was being dispensed in an "off-ratio" manner (the blend of A and B components out of specification. The application of off-ratio product can lead to poor foam structure (low expansion, weak/brittle, too soft/poor hardness etc.) The most common reasons for this condition are attempting to spray through valves that are not opened equally: “Fully open valves on both cylinders by turning counter-clockwise until a slight resistance is felt” and/or attempting to apply the chemical through a restricted/partially clogged nozzle: "If spraying has stopped for more than 30 seconds, foam in the nozzle will begin to cure and clog, and system performance will be compromised". To verify that the chemicals are being applied in proper ratio, we recommend a "test application" prior to actual use: Spray a small amount of foam on scrap material to check chemical mix. The foam should be off-white in color and be tack free within 30–60 seconds." Lastly, Troubleshooting: If cured foam appears either lighter or darker in color immediately after spraying, one component may be blocked or empty. Immediately stop spraying and do the following:1. Check both valves to be sure they are fully open.2. Look for and fix any kinks in the hoses.3. Remove the nozzle, clean off any residual liquid or foam. Check to be sure two roughly equal chemical streams exit the foam applicator barrel by dispensing into a waste receptacle.4. Verify that the chemical, ambient, and substrate temperatures are within the suggested ranges.5. For additional assistance, contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477. All of the above-referenced information can be referenced in the enclosed product usage instructions, DVD as well as website usage videos. Thank you for posting your feedback. The products that you are comparing (two component spray polyurethane foam and traditional fiberglass insulation) are not equal in terms of performance characteristics. The foam dispensed from the Pro System 600 Kit is provides an air seal, a moisture vapor barrier, high insulation value and adds structural strength/rigidity, all in one step. Traditional fiberglass insulation is not capable of any of these performance characteristics. Should you have any questions or require additional assistance, please feel free to contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477. DAPFoam

This product was exactly as expected by all the YouTube and written reviews I looked at. Everything was in the two packages as expected. I adhered to the temperatures listed and advertised. The product dispensed just as it did in the videos which leads me to believe there is a consistency you can expect. It is difficult to calculate the yield I received from this batch because of the irregular spraying that I did. I did both of my gable ends and all the eaves plus 1/6 of my cathedral roof. Although I feel the price is high that is what it is right now and if that's what you want that is what you have to pay. I plan on purchasing two more sets of spray to finish my roof so I highly recommend this product.

When the tanks were down to about 1/4 or 1/5 capacity, meaningful propulsion was lost, and the remaining foam dribbled out languidly, failing to cure properly. I changed tips twice during the application to make sure that clogging wasn't my issue. This stuff costs $738. A loss of just 1/5 of this product represents $146. Go set fire to 7 twenty dollar bills to simulate my experience with this foam. When I am spending this kind of money, I expect flawless performance, and I simply didn't get it. Also, I'm pretty sure the inventor was a descendant of Martin Bormann.

We regret that you are disappointed with the performance of the polyurethane spray foam kit you purchased from Home Depot. Touch N Foam spray foam kits, like all prepressurized, prefilled low pressure spray foam kits, decline in output velocity as chemicals are dispensed. As chemicals are dispensed, the internal pressure decreases accordingly and the output velocity decreases.
These low pressure systems have been proven to dispense all of the chemicals when written instructions are followed while still retaining significant internal pressure. Particularly important this time of year is the maintenance of appropriate chemical temperatures. Chemical temperatures below the recommended level will result in significantly slower output velocity. SEAL-KRETETouchnFoam

The stuff did not mix properly and 75% of it shrank after installation. When throwing the tanks away, one was completely full and sprayed everywhere after cutting the hose off. Absolute garbage, don't waste your money. They don't store the stuff properly, go to a professional insulation manufacturer for this. HD don't know what they doing when it comes to more sensitive materials and such.

Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to see your low star review on the Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 600 Kit. Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience with Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 600 Kit. Based on your commentary regarding the texture/consistency and coverage (yield) of the foam, it would appear that the product was likely being dispensed in an “off-ratio” condition. The leading causes of poor foam quality/performance results from attempting to spray the product out of temperature range and/or in an off-ratio manner (the blend of A and B components out of specification). The application of off-ratio product will lead to poor foam structure (low expansion, weak/brittle, too soft/poor hardness etc.) The most common reason for this condition is attempting to spray through a restricted/partially clogged nozzle/valve. When spraying the product in an off-ratio condition, full coverage is not realistic, as the foam is not being applied properly. In this condition the product is not capable of performing as designed. At your convenience, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so that we can obtain some additional information from you regarding your experience. DAPFoam

Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to see your low star review on the DAP Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 600 Kit. As with all two-components kits, coverage is expressed as a board foot, this is defined as 12” x 12” square by 1” thick. A System 600 Kit is designed to provide 600 board feet (theoretical output) when properly applied. Even small variations in application conditions, application technique and/or the depth/thickness of applied foam can significantly impact the product's coverage rate. Because you did not provide sufficient background details, there is no way to determine if your coverage expectations are in line with the product's theoretical output. Product is total trash. Coverage is no where near 600sq ft. Expansion is Non-existent. The one canister runs out without any warning then you are left with a runny mess all over the place. My garage is only about 600sq ft and it took 1000sq ft of foam to complete this project. Could have done fiberglass for a fifth of the cost and probably gotten better results.

Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to see your low star review on the DAP Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 600 Kit. The Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 600 Kit is filled with sufficient material to dispense a minimum of 600 board feet worth of delivered foam (when applied as directed). Coverage for foam products is expressed as "Board Feet", which is defined as 12" L x 12" W x 1" Deep (a three-dimensional coverage calculation), whereas a "Square Foot" coverage is a two-dimensional coverage calculation (which does not factor the depth/thickness of the application). In order to calculate how many "Board Feet" of foam will be required for your intended project, you would need to multiple the total number of liner feet of the wall area by the wall cavity height (floor to ceiling). Based on the “600 square feet” you indicated (and assuming a standard 8’ floor to ceiling cavity), you would require a minimum of 800 board feet of foam to achieve a precise 1” depth of foam coverage. Even small variations in applied thickness will significantly impact overall coverage. As to your commentary indicating: “Expansion is Non-existent”, to verify that the chemicals are being applied in proper ratio, we recommend a "test application" prior to actual use: Spray a small amount of foam on scrap material to check chemical mix. The foam should be off-white in color and be tack free within 30–60 seconds." Lastly, Troubleshooting: If cured foam appears either lighter or darker in color immediately after spraying, one component may be blocked or empty. Immediately stop spraying and do the following:1. As to your commentary indicating: “The one canister runs out without any warning then you are left with a runny mess all over the place”, as the tanks are depleted (as with any sealed pressurized vessel) the pressure will drop off rapidly as the contents near depletion. After achieving a full evacuation of the 600 board feet of delivered foam, there will always be residual chemical in one or both tanks. Because you did not provide any background on your application technique or application conditions. it is not possible to provide a more detailed response in this format. Out of 2 kits one worked. The other just spewed chemical everywhere. Had to return it, but the return went smooth and the replacement kit worked. However be advised some of this kits are faulty from the factory and don’t work. At $770 each you would expect better quality control, but overall a decent product but a lot of hassle to make work. I would suggest just skipping this product if you want results the first go around.

The red can was empty before the white can. The white can still have much liquid in it.

Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to see your low star review on the DAP Touch 'n Foam Pro System 600 Kit. These kits are filled with sufficient material to dispense a minimum of 600 board feet worth of delivered foam (when properly applied). After achieving a full evacuation of the 600+ board feet of delivered foam, there will always be residual chemical in one or both tanks. This condition is normal and expected. Thank you for posting your feedback. The Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 600 Kit is filled with sufficient material to dispense a minimum of 600 board feet worth of delivered foam (when properly applied). As the tanks are depleted (as with any sealed pressurized vessel) the pressure will drop off rapidly as the contents near depletion. Once the foam flow rate drops to a point where further application is impractical, there will always be residual chemical in one or both tanks. This condition is normal and expected. The "20% difference" that you describe, however, would not be considered normal. That amount of residual product (in only one tank) would likely indicate that the product was being applied in an "off-ratio" manner (unequal dispensing of tank contents). The most common cause for unequal dispensing is as a result of attempting to spray the product (kit) with a mechanical restriction present, such as: incompletely opened/unequally opened valve/s, partially and/or fully clogged spray line/s, application gun and/or nozzle tip. I was not sure if my measurements were accurate and possibly I ordered too much but it was exactly right for a double layer doing both exterior side walls in my garage. Instantly noticeable difference in temperature.
