Product Details

The TowSmart X-mount Ball Mount is a patented X-mount design that channels away moisture to minimize seizing within the aperture of the receiver hitch. The X-mount design also includes a lockrail system that allows you to torque the hitch ball with a single wrench. The lockrail functions as a built-in wrench preventing the hitch ball rotation during installation or removal from the X-mount Ball Mount. Make sure to select the correct class for your towing application. Each X-mount can be used in either the drop or rise position depending on your requirement when towing. It is important to know the total weight of the trailer (GTW) you are towing and the maximum towing capacity determined by the vehicle manufacturer.

A:  My understanding is your trailer tongue should be angled down a bit when towing... you have to measure your heights!

      A:  I cannot find a manufacture origin mark on this particular hitch. However, I found listings for other types of TowSmart hitches that reference 'Made in China'.

        works well

This one has great features and is made of heavy duty steel that prevents rust and won't foul up. This one has the right amount of towing weight that I need to use with hauling and towing heavy equipment. It was easy to install and I would definitely recommend this to all my friends and co workers.

                        durable protective coating makes it look nice. light weight and well made. perfect for atv/utv use or a small van or car. rated at 3500lbs a small trailer or tent trailer would be easy fro this to handle the load. the design is unique and does allow it to slide into receiver easily. one thing to note is it does use a smaller hitch pin than the larger 2" hitch.

                        I purchased a used Chevy Equinox that came from the factory with a 1.25” receiver. I have a small utility trailer I’m going to pull with it. After taking several measurements this is the one the will keep the trailer level behind the SUV. I like the X design over the squire tube type. I take it out after every use, so I’ve put a light coat of grease on it to make it easier to install and remove. With a 3500# capacity, it’s more than enough for me. It appears to be powder coated, so finish should hold up for some time. I would recommend this.
