[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a smaller trailer we use to haul our golf cart back and forth from the campground. This ball worked out great. We have other full size trailers that use a bigger ball, but we were tired of hauling a golf cart on a car trailer. This will cone in handy for smaller hauling projects.

It’s strong and well made to hold the our trailer in place for heavy towing. We especially like the locking feature on the hitch pin as well. Great buy! Will not disappoint!

Pros: Long thread allows this hitch ball to mount to many factory bumpers. Cons: Cheap India pot metal was used for the split lock washer. I installed this hitch ball and torqued to 250ftlb as per the manufacturer's instructions. After traveling about 150 miles on a trip, I checked the nut's torque and noticed the washer had broken. This washer has no tempering, and just flattened out and broke. This resulted in the ball loosening on the bumper (it backed off about 3 threads). When looking at the fracture, it's apparent the metallurgy is not consistent at all. This product is a hazard and the J684 rating should not be allowed to be stamped on this pot metal paper weight.

Lawn tractors have a 5/8 inch hole on the back of them to tow garden items. Typical fertilizer spreaders, lawn sweepers, etc attach with a pin. Sometimes owners want to move light trailers that normally attach to cars. That is where this ball mount comes in handy. Keep in mind that the steel on the back of your tractor is not very thick. I put big washers above and below the trailer ball for extra support. A good rule of thumb would be that if you can't lift the trailer's tongue easily, don't put it on the back of the tractor.

We are using this to move a job trailer around using a forklift. It is easy on and off. Works great.

I received my 10,000 lb. Capacity 2-5/16 in. Ball x 1-1/4 in. Shank Diameter x 2-1/2 in. Shank Length. When I opened the shipping box and saw the trailer ball it looks very strong. The hitch ball provides wrench flats for preventing hitch ball rotation during installation or removal. With the chrome plated finish it is corrosion resistant. It has a 1 Year Limited Warranty. Make sure to follow the instructions when installing the ball to your hitch & it should last for a long time.

This hitch ball is really heavy and sturdy and solid. It’s clean to the look. 10,000 pound max trailer weight should pull most large items. The shank diameter is pretty standard along with the shank length so it will fit in most trucks that are too smart. I will use this on my Silverado 1500 LT to pull a car and trailer it should do the job. I like it

Thanks Tow Smart for offering a 2” trailer ball with a shank this length and diameter. Most companies don’t offer anything close to this size or weight rating. Needed the extra size and length to fit a tractor drawbar. Great product at a great price. Stop shopping and purchase one today!
