Product Details

The TowSmart Hitch Ball is a key component to create a secure connection between your vehicle and trailer when towing your valuable assets. The heavy-duty construction is extremely durable with a chrome plated finish that is corrosion resistant. The hitch ball provides wrench flats for easy positioning in the X-mount lockrail system. The lockrail functions as a built-in wrench preventing hitch ball rotation during installation or removal. The wrench flat design is universal to be used with any standard ball mount. It is important to know the total weight of the trailer (GTW) you are towing and the maximum towing capacity determined by the vehicle manufacturer.

          Answer This Question

A:  The one I bought said it had a .75" diameter shank. If the hole is that size or slightly larger, then no. I have a bar that goes on the 3-point hitch on my tractor. The bar has holes that are approximately .75 ID. It fit that fine with no modification.

          good quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good quality, fits perfectly, good craftsmanship, would buy again and would recommend to someone looking. Great company and great products!
            Mighty & Strong
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brand has absolutely outdid any other brand of trailer hitch ball mounts I have ever tried. The others I have used have no comparison to this one. This one here is mighty and strong and I know I can feel safe going down the road while towing my cargo.
              Hitch ball.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hitch ball is a 2 inch ball that comes machined with wrench groves for easy assemble to ball mount up to a 10,000lb weight limit. This hitch ball is very well made.
                Great Durability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very durable, heavy duty ball. Much more heavy duty than my husband’s previous ball. Much more reliable! All the items we have received are great quality! We recommend to everyone. My dad own’s a truck and trailer parts store and sells products similar to these, he was bragging on the quality too!
                  Excellent for towing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tow ball is solid and very heavy. I’m not concerned at all that it would ever break. The craftsmanship is top notch, and it fits our needs perfectly. If you’re looking for a quality towing setup, this is definitely the product to go with.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this free from influenster in exchange for my honest review. It was nice to receive this as well and give it to my husband it’s definitely good and holds up well when hauling things id definitely recommend
                      2” Hitchball
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was easy to install. So far so good. It’s been withstanding recent hauling loads for my husband. It is heavy duty steel with a corrosion resistant coating. It fits nicely in the ball mount.
                        One job - It Failed
Pros: Long thread allows this hitch ball to mount to many factory bumpers. Cons: Cheap India pot metal was used for the split lock washer. I installed this hitch ball and torqued to 250ftlb as per the manufacturer's instructions. After traveling about 150 miles on a trip, I checked the nut's torque and noticed the washer had broken. This washer has no tempering, and just flattened out and broke. This resulted in the ball loosening on the bumper (it backed off about 3 threads). When looking at the fracture, it's apparent the metallurgy is not consistent at all. This product is a hazard and the J684 rating should not be allowed to be stamped on this pot metal paper weight.
Perfect for lawn tractor light trailer towing
Lawn tractors have a 5/8 inch hole on the back of them to tow garden items. Typical fertilizer spreaders, lawn sweepers, etc attach with a pin. Sometimes owners want to move light trailers that normally attach to cars. That is where this ball mount comes in handy. Keep in mind that the steel on the back of your tractor is not very thick. I put big washers above and below the trailer ball for extra support. A good rule of thumb would be that if you can't lift the trailer's tongue easily, don't put it on the back of the tractor.

We are using this to move a job trailer around using a forklift. It is easy on and off. Works great.
