Disappointed
We installed this in our kitchen in 2016. It looked so beautiful and was easy to install. Unfortunately, it is cracking and separating near the seams. It is right in the middle of the space and this product is no longer available, which might be a good thing since the quality seems to be poor. I am contacting Home Depot about filing a warranty claim with the hopes that I can at least get a replacement to redo the space.

Product began cracking along edges, exposing sharp edges to feet. Interlocking edges are a total joke and hardly "snap" in place. Fit isn't flush with all planks, the quality and consistency is subpar. When Trafficmaster was contacted, they asked for photos and two sample planks to be sent in for analysis. As one could guess, their in house analysis showed no defect. So less than two years later, after installing it to the "T" of their instructions in an area of the house with very little use, I'm now shopping for new flooring. Buyer beware! Subpar product with a company that does NOT stand behind their product. No issues with buying experience at Home Depot, but I'll be buying a different brand next time around.

My husband and I bought this floor and we installed it all by October 2014. We used it through our whole second floor of our house which is around 1000 sq. ft. that has bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, an office space and two entry ways. We have done a lot of remodeling projects so we have some experience. After having this product in our house after 1 year, we started to notice problems with the floor such as cracking, chips, scratches and the laminate pulling away from the flooring. The floor is close to 3 years old and we have 4 larger cracks, one about 20 inches long. We thought we followed the directions appropriately, made sure our floor below was level and screws where down into the plywood before installation; however, with movement of the house the floor below has shifted, creating some spots where the plywood beneath is a little uneven. This is where the planks have cracked all the way through. Our house was built in 1978. After having all these problems, we checked into the 25 year warranty. We sent in photos, extra blanks and descriptions of the problem like they asked. It took TrafficMaster three months to tell us our claim was denied. We were told we installed it wrong, had improper maintenance and we cracked it. We were told it was due to our fireplace, but this does not make much sense since the cracks are in different spots around the house. We left appropriate space between the floor and fireplace, but filled in with a caulk that looks like grout. This is a waterproof floor, but they do not advise soap. Any amount of soap used to clean the floor, unless it is ammonia type, voids the warranty. And we were told that we should not allow direct sunlight to hit the floor as it will cause faster wear and expansion and contraction… so keep your curtains pulled on your windows and don’t let light in… Over that time, our claim representative was supposed to call us back with answers to our questions. It took us three weeks to get a hold of her. She never once called us back even after getting a scheduled time. It has been the most frustrating experience. We would never buy this product again or anything by this company. We do have another version of vinyl plank by another company in our basement on cement that we put in about the same time. No cracking or shifting of the cement of course, and not one problem with the flooring.

I recently purchased this flooring and had it installed in my house and the end result is just fantastic! The floor looks and feels like wood but is totally waterproof and scratch resistant. It far exceeds my expectations and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is upgrading. The installation went quickly and I also had an underlayment applied beneath this flooring to give it a slight cushion and barrier between the concrete slab.

Pros: - Looks really good at a glance - Cuts with a razor knife, no saws required - Click-together assembly suitable for a novice (unlike wood) - Looks like it should hold up well to wear (too soon to tell) - Cheap! Especially on the "deal of the day" sale Cons: - Won't fool anyone into thinking it's hardwood - Straight cuts with a razor knife are easy - complex cuts, such as around doors and into entries are more difficult (refer to 2nd pic - "cut out") - Click-together is somewhat fiddly - takes practice. Of course you can try as many times as you need to until it's right - Since the click together requires the plank to first be held at an angle, it's not possible to fit an edge under a door casing - see 1st pic - "close up" - (something that would be easy with wood) - can be overcome with careful planning and cutting. Or remove/replace the door casing, but this detracts from the "easy install") - Easy to break the ends! One box must have been dropped on its end during shipping, breaking the interlocks on the end of all those boards. Thanks to Home Depot for replacing it with no hassle! (Note: once installed there's no risk of this) Perspective: - I've installed engineered hardwood and solid 3/4" oak hardwood (both with pneumatic stapler/nailer), comfortably using miter- and table-saws - However this is the first time I've installed any kind of vinyl

We have ordered this for our home office and master bedroom. We had already laid this same flooring in four other rooms of our home 6 months ago. This flooring is amazing with rich wood tones and is easy to maintain. It is waterproof and is easy to damp mop with no streaks. Would recommend over any laminate flooring on the market.

              Beautiful flooring...
I have never installed a floor before although I have observed others installing laminate products so I wasn't sure I could do this. It took a few rows to get the procedure of clipping the end pieces together and then rotating the plank to get the length in place but once I overcame the learning curve it was simple. I broke my hand last year and don't have much strength in it but I was easily able to score and cut planks when necessary with a utility knife and a metal straight-edge. I just ordered more of this flooring in grey for another project! Everyone that has seen the floor agrees that it is just beautiful!

              OMG this stuff is amazing.
I have to tell you from the get go that I foster young puppies. I also have a paralyzed dog who is in a set of wheels. This flooring is amazing, I've had the laminated wood flooring with a "fake bevel" that water got trapped in.....when I mopped I would have to crawl and wipe up with a towel. Eventually the planks "swelled up" in the bevel. But this flooring....it's a flush fit no gaps. And I am in LOVE! Plan on doing my kitchen and bath in the same product only in tile or stone finish.

Old Hickory Nutmeg Vinyl Plank Flooring
Cleanliness is the key to installing this flooring. . . sweep, vacuum, sweep, vacuum & repeat daily if it takes longer to complete installation. From start to finish including removing all furniture, carpet, pad, tack strips, & staples; preparing floor surface which included the use of a belt sander to make sure it was flat so I could start out with a good substrate and completing installation took four days for a 14x17 bedroom. This stuff looks amazing & looks really good with our antique oak bedroom set. Aside from the color, the texture reminds me of the old punkin board floors in Maine. Before I moved furniture back into the room I went over the floor with a mop & shine product to protect the floor from scuffs while moving heavy furniture.

They are a nice vinyl planking. The installation was easy once you get the knack of it. I wanted a vinyl rather than a laminate since it's a high traffic hallway. Just installed, so I can't attest to the durability yet. Looks beautiful though. It goes well with my laminate stairs too.

looks nice, took some practice to install nicely.
I used this for bathrooms and picked it primarily for its appearance which was a good match to the laminate used in adjacent rooms. There was enough variety in appearance to allow for artistic placement. Installing was in some ways easier than laminate and in someways harder. It doesn't make a definitive snap most times so you have to look closely to see if it is fully seated. I had to connect a row together and then connect that row to preceding rows, which requires more hands after about 3 pieces (9 feet). On the other hand I was able to jiggle planks to get them to seat instead of banging them into place with a piece of scrap protecting the edge (although I did that as well for a while).

              Worst flooring ever!
I would NEVER buy this flooring again. Had it for less then a year and already chipped and breaking. I thought it was on the seams, but it's not. Worst money I ever spend. Thinking of pulling it all up and doing real wood. Sickening.

              Great floor
We laid this floor over an existing vinyl floor in our finished basement. It looks beautiful. It is quite a large room and it took my husband and I four days. If we were younger, we probably could have done it in two (we are 60 and 70 years old). The most challenging part was getting the first two rows lined up. The floor kept moving. We finally landed on putting the unopened boxes on top and that weighted it down so it wouldn't move (see picture). We also found that it was very important to make sure all the boards were firmly seated. We did have to pull up a couple of rows and re-lay them when we found a gap but this was our fault and not the product.

              Beautiful flooring
My son installed this for me in my guest room and it brightened it right up. I had old ugly blue carpeting that had been in there for 40 years . This looks rich and expensive, yet wasn't.

              Looks nice installed
Looks nice installed. It's obviously not real wood, but it looks great. Used it in the basement on concrete floor, so we're not worried about any moisture. I've been beating on the sample with screwdrivers and it's pretty tough (but a blade will scratch it if you do it right). I didn't install myself but it was easy for the guy who did - went down quick.

              Challenging but beautiful
Four of eight boxes were damaged, didn't realize it until after I had started project. Had to return & re-order. Was delivered in a timely manner - opened replacement boxes before leaving store - only one piece damaged. If you get the first two rows in correctly, the rest is a breeze. If you don't, not so much. The best tip I would offer is to keep an old paint brush handy and dry brush the groove to remove any dust or lint before installing the next tile, it will save you loads of time in the long run. Even though I thoroughly cleaned my subfloor, I still had issues keeping the grooves free of dust & small bits of dirt throughout the installation. If any of the tiles "popped", it was always debris in the tracks related. I have used TrafficMaster products throughout my home. This vinyl flooring looks more like hardwood than the laminate in the living room & dining room, which is why they are going to be replaced with this flooring as the budget allows. Vinyl holds up to my multiple dogs much better than laminate. I worked alone and the total time to complete the floor was probably close to 10 hrs because of the issues I experienced but once I got in the zone and worked out all the minor annoyances, it went together very well.

              Worked well for our cabin
The floors in our cabin were uneven and covered in carpet. Found that this product installed well over the lumps and bumps. Weathered over the cold winter shutdown with out any problems. We are on a lake with grandkids running in and out-–also lots of spills and it cleans up nicely. Installed by my son who has above level of handyman skills. Only negative is that the color chooses are limited. If this was a year round home I may have chosen a different product.

Easy to install & beatiful finished product!
We did a kitchen remodel/update on a shoestring budget. I'm fastidious about finding the best value for the cost in all my purchases, weighing cost, quality, features, warranty, durability, appearance and ease of installation whenever I'm updating, upgrading or making repairs to my home. The cost couldn't be beat considering no underlayment or special tools are required, add to that a lifetime residential warranty and that it's waterproof, making it a perfect product to replace our chipped, broken & torn green stick-on vinyl tile flooring. It's an old house so nothing is smooth, level or plumb either. This flooring is forgiving during install and thick enough to conceal a lot of the subfloor imperfections. It's beautiful and surprisingly soft and warm under-foot. It went down in a day using my miter saw with a fine blade for the straight cuts and tin snips and a razor knife for irregular cuts. Make sure it's relatively warm when installing as the vinyl gets brittle & breaks/cracks easier if the product is cold. Take the time to measure and lay the 1st row correctly and follow the directions in the box for staggering the joints, and this floor will almost fall into place with very little waste or additional cutting. I found the key was to but the end of each plank tightly together at a low angle to the floor, they kind of jiggle the length down into place. The jiggling seems to vibrate the joints into place with no gaps or separating seams. Trying to bang or tap them together only resulted in chipped/cracked planks & the ends always seemed to separate if I got the length to click. It took a little experimenting & a few mistakes, but once I got the hang of it, I was actually enjoying the install and immediate result of a beautiful floor. I love it so much that I got the Ultra-wide in Southern Hickory to put down in my master bedroom. A great line of flooring products here!

                Much better than I expected
This flooring has actually turned out to be much better than I expected. I installed a LOT of this. It is in my kitchen, breakfast nook, foyer, downstairs bathroom, and rear entry area. My old flooring was linoleum and I originally planned to just lay this right over the top of the old floor. I actually started doing just that, and it was working fine, when I realized if a scraped up my old flooring, I would be able to eliminate a difference in floor height between my Foyer and my kitchen. Once I made that decision, I just unclicked the half of the foyer I had already completed, scraped off the old linoleum and then put this back down. In the kitchen, there was a layer of linoleum on top of a layer of underlayment stapled to the original underlayment that was on the subfloor. This second layer of underlayment was responsible for the height difference. You could see the previous owner had scraped off a layer of linoleum and then put the second underlayment layer to have something to glue the new linoleum to. I just ripped all that out and with this vinyl planking I was able to just go right over the original underlayment. Something the previous owner wasn't able to do with linoleum. Installing this was not difficult, you just need to pay attention, make sure everything is tight. I used a few scrap pieces to lightly tap everything in snug as I was going along. The only place I really had difficulty was undercutting door trim in a couple places, especially going under door jambs. It is actually pretty flexible though, you can hammer two pieces together even if they are both lying flat, if you really have to. There are multiple patterns for the various pieces, and you have to pay attention to make sure you don't get too many of the same type in the same area. There is enough variety that this wasn't really a problem, but again, you have to pay attention. The finished product looks great. My underlayment was in rough shape in a couple of places. A little filler and this was all hidden with no problem. I am actually glad I ripped up the old linoleum because all of this was hidden. The only really hard part about the installation was the fact I decided to remove the old flooring first. That took four times as long as it took to put this down. I wouldn't recommend removing it unless you really have a reason to like I did. Also, being able to cut this right where I was working with nothing more than a utility knife really sped things up. Also because of the size and the way it is installed, it is an easy one man job. The product consists of a solid piece of vinyl base with a thin layer containing the pattern and texture fused to it. I did encounter a couple of planks out of probably 20 cases or more, where these were not well bonded. There was maybe three inches on one end of one that didn't appear to be joined at all and you could actually peel them apart. Once I saw this, I was careful to check all the rest before I put each one in, but it was only those two that had a problem. It has been about six months now since I installed it and it seems to be holding up well. The only scratch I have is where I pushed my fully loaded refrigerator into place and stupidly turned it while I was pushing it. It is not really noticeable to anyone else. It also turned out to be a little bit darker than I was expecting, but that ins't the floor's fault.

                Beautiful
We are lucky in that we didn't have to undercut any of our woodwork to slide the planks in. We do, however, have to buy trim (and stain to match) to attach to existing woodwork to finish the edges. It was easier for us to do it this way than to remove existing trim and reinstall on plaster walls.

                  Damaged Planks
I had to special order this item. Delivered on time, boxes looked very good , but i had 2-3 planks in a box that were chipped and or broken. Have not yet to returned these. I had the sales person order these on line at the store and the person ordered too much , so now i have with the broken ones almost 3 full boxes left. Hopefully I will get my money back... Oh the 2 rating is because of the damaged ones, other wise they are great looking and easy to install...

REGRET everyday when i walk into my house
I wouldn't ever purchase or recommend this flooring or this company to anyone. We were on the hunt for flooring that would be durable and suitable for our family and dogs.We decided on June 2014 to purchase this flooring because 2 employees from 2 different Home Depots told us that the floor wouldn't scratch, that it is extremely durable and that it would last 10 + years. .We paid to have this flooring put in and not even 3 months after we noticed that a couple of the planks started peeling,we noticed scratches and our flooring was parting. We contacted Home Depot and we had to file a claim.Long story short we did all that was recommended of us(fill out claim, submit pics ,receipt & supply samples) and the co. decided that we had no claim. We spent all of this money for all of the flooring and paid to have it put in.You tell us that nothing is wrong. What makes it so bad is that everyone that comes into our home sees this when they walk in.We take pride in our home and now we are so embarrassed to even have people over. The company was unapologetic about this, didn't even offer us any solutions to fix the problems. We were told that "we need to cut our dogs nails."I can't seem to figure out how the company says "commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and the environment."

                      Beautiful with 3dogs!
I had a slight challenge by deciding to do the flooring in a diagonal pattern. Even still, it was easy to cut with a box cutter and easy to install. I have 3 dogs one of them a timberwolf husky mix and one a potty training baby. This flooring had no scratches from them and is amazingly easy to clean.

Good value and quality for the price
We are expecting our first child and we were looking to replace our old carpet in our dinner and living room but didn't wanted to spend lots of money. We found this vinyl plank and bought it. We pay for installation and they were very efficient and fast in the process. The planks looks great and almost looks like wood!!! Of course you don't get the feeling of walking in real wood but if you are looking for a flooring option that is economic and durable this is a great alternative. We also have a dog thus this been water resistant was a must. IS very easy to clean and is very resistant to scratches.
