        Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Trewax is not designed to work on concrete, and so we have never tested it for that purpose. If the concrete is sealed, Trewax paste wax will work in the same way that it does on any other hard, non-porous surface. We cannot say how it will perform on untreated or partially treated concrete. If you choose to use it, please test on a small inconspicuous spot first. Please also keep in mind that there is a very real possibility that Trewax will be extremely difficult to remove from unsealed concrete once it has dried. Thanks, The Trewax Team

A:  I use it on our steel and concrete sculptures. The concrete has been sealed.

The Trewax was applied to an oak hardwood floor. The floor had two coats of Danish oil first, to seal the wood. The wax was fairly easy to apply. The result was shiny and a slight amount of yellowing. The finish was nice and hard after completing. It took most of a can to do about 300 sq. ft. the first time. The second coat used about half a can. My only complaint is that some of the applicator marks could not be buffed out. I had applied the wax using a circular motion, and from up close I could still see some of the swirl marks after using an electric buffer for a minute or so. I'm not sure whether this is because I was applying the wax too thick or not thick enough. While walking on the floor it is not noticeable, but only when on one's hands and knees.

          Revitalize drying out
I'm a knife maker and love Tre Wax. It's simply drying out and cracking into chunks in the can. Does what is evaporating need to be replaced? How can I return it to its original consistency?

            Good for more than floors.
I had used Trewax 60 years ago when I had hardwood floors throughout my home. Loved it then and for some reason I still have some. I can't remember if it is the same can or one bought to polish banister rails on the front porch. I do stained glass now and I use it to polish my glass panels and protect the glass and solder/lead. Works great for that also. Thanks for staying in business. I recommend tree was to everyone.

Need a redesign on the can/ seal
I have been using this product for more than 10 years. My last old can still has product in it. Soft just like it was 10 years ago. Yesterday I bought a new can. The product was dried out with about 45-50% evaporated. What was left was hard and unusable. I have heard of this problem but didn't believe it. I do now, totally unusable. Need to rethink your can's seal at least.
