Seemed to scratch easily while positioning the mini split unit. Otherwise, well made, boards cut easily with chop saw, and project looks very good! Loved the color.

Always Turns out Great
I've always liked Trex. I did a deck a few years ago and decided to do another using Trex again. Turned out great. I This product is a little different than the one I used before since it is not solid, but worked fine. Easy to work with.

Trex 1x6 deck boards
Great product. Color and quality impressed me. I was concerned that these decking boards would be hot underfoot in the direct sun, but actually cooler than the pt deck boards on my dock. Clean look when you use the hidden fasteners too.

We decided to build a deck for a Gazibo. I spoke to my builder and he suggested to use Trex instead of traditional decking material. Initially I wanted to use stone to match the rest of my back yard. It turned the best decision. Once the material arrived the platform was built in 3 days and it took another day to assemble the Gazibo and secure it to the beck. I am very happy with the product. It looks and feels great. Now my family and I spend most of our summer days enjoying the backyards!

These deck boards have a nice weathered look (brown/grayish) to them and and fairly easy to work and strong but I still prefer previous Trex Enhance lines where the boards were solid, not scalloped. These new Enhance Basics boards are now scalloped on the underside and sold for about the same price. I used these boards for a rather unconventional use: new window wells for my house. The boards were easy to work but tough to secure at miter angles, because they are scalloped. Like all Trex boards, they are easiest to work in the sun when they are hot. These boards will bend if not laid flat and the bends are tough to get out. They take composite screws fairly well. As with all composite decking, the saw dust does not decompose. I do my best to collect it all if I am working near grass or gardens.

I purchased these to replace a rotting wooden ramp and I couldn't be more pleased. They look outstanding and the grooves in the boards look natural and do help prevent slipping as you go up/down the ramp. I can't stress the importance of drilling pilot holes and when I use them in the future (or when I correct my mistake with these) I will use a countersink bit so the head of the screw is flush with the board and then use some wood filler or silicone to cover the screw, to give it that unblemished feel. I am definitely planning to use them again when I redo my back deck.
