Can this be put on after the deck is built?
Yes, the Trex RainEscape system can be installed on an existing deck, but you must remove the decking in order to install. There are deck drainage systems out there that drain from under the framing of the deck and do not need to have decking removed, but they will also accelerate rot and deterioration of the deck frame. The reason our system is installed over the top of the joists and framing is so that the system will protect and extend the life of your deck, while also draining water and creating a protected and dry space underneath the deck. There will be added labor costs if you choose to use our Trex RainEscape system on an existing deck, but you will benefit in adding many years of life and use to your deck. Can this be connected directly to an aluminum drain pipe
Joseph, the Downspout nozzle is 2”x3” so it will fit a standard 2”x3” downspout for standard guttering. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions. 877-328-1385
