I have only used it twice so far and it seems to operate well. The machine is large and has 9 very nice mesh trays plus an additional tray for making fruit leather, etc. It also comes with additional liners for the drying trays. The quality of the trays is excellent, but they cannot be washed in a dishwasher which doesn't bother me. The machine does give off considerable heat when operating, so using it in the summer will heat the kitchen up. A really nice feature is that you can use just half of the machine if you only want to do 3 or 4 trays and it only uses 300 watts rather than 600. One thing that really needs improved is the recipe book which is terrible. There are only 9 recipes. So far I have experimented with zucchini chips, beet chips and dehydrated marshmallow (don't laugh they are great!) The drying time in the operating manual is pretty accurate but I think the temperatures are too low. So far, I am giving it an good rating.

Before I got this Tribest Sedona Combo Dehydrator, I used to do the preserving of my excess fruits using the oven at "Keep Warm" setting which is about 165° Fahrenheit. Now that I have this Sedona Combo Dehydrator, which does a good job, I can give a break to the oven. Dehydrated food will not look or taste like the original; it is just for preserving. Rehydrating will bring back the look, texture and taste to a certain extent. One advantage of this machine is that it has 2 fans a separator in the middle, so that it can do small half batches, with 4 trays each by turning on only half the machine. The air intake and exhaust works pretty well, so the dehydration works almost even. I was planning to make some beef jerky, but i did not see any mention about it in the manual. It mentions about making turkey Jerky with cooked turkey only. Overall, the machine works well for people who love to preserve food in a dehydrated method.

I am new to the dehydration but really like this product. My only wish is needing an insert that I can dehydrate peas on.

          I love this dehydrator
I have the one with the stainless steel trays. I really like the raw setting to prevent temperature spikes like what happened on my Excalibur. It would get too hot for at times to preserve enzymes. This model also has two fans and you can choose to use only one if you are not using all your trays at one time. Its a nice feature because it lowers the wattage while in use. It is pretty quiet too. Not as quiet as my Sedona Express though but still not bothersome to me. Its easy to set and easy to use. When I want to keep my veggies or fruit at 118 degrees I just select the raw mode. This purchase is well worth the money to me. I garden a lot an volunteer at an organic farm so I have lots of stuff to dehydrate. This is really good for herbs and garlic too. I make all my own spices. I also grow and collect wild herbs for tea. This thing does a superb job on anything I dry in it. The best part to me for owning this is knowing I am getting clean organic snacks, herbs and spices because I dry them myself. No additives at all.

Starting off, this food dehydrator is fantastic and you get professional results. I am amazed at the different options and the level of control you have while dehydrating the food. The controls enable you to specify the temperature you need for dehydrating the specific type of food in the dehydrator. This is fast, quiet, and effective for yielding delicious results. I love making home dehydrated food, and this is by far the best dehydrator I have ever had the privilege of using. There are 9 square trays which slide easily inside the dehydrator unit. The size of the dehydrator is large, so you can process a high volume of food at one time. The trays are plastic and are easily cleaned. I especially love the fact that this dehydrator can handle fruits, vegetables, and meats so you can make your own delicious jerky. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves to make their own dehydrated food.

I like first that the amount of meat that it will hold. I got ten pounds of beef in it for jerky. The dual chambers are a plus due to doing small batches. All the control settings are very easy to set. The buttons are very well marked. I have not found anything I dislike about this. I expect to get many years of service out of this because of the great quality of product. I have had it for about a month and done several batches of jerky. Will be doing some fruit over the week end. This dehydrator totally meets my expectations and would recommend it to any one.

I've dehydrated food for some time with those cheaper units, so this is my first high end unit. The features; dual fan technology, two-stage sequential Temperature-Timer (TST) and a digital control panel. It's quiet, energy efficiency and has a computerized display, glass window with internal LED lights so you can see your items with having to open the door. There's many more features and we can't list them all. We did a first run with only half the trays using one fan setting: apples, pears, bananas and strawberries and a peach all cut 1/4 inch. We used the default 110* at 10 hour and ran the cycle twice for this case. Now if you done any dehydrating before, you know everything dries difference so the strawberries came out at 16 hours and everything else ran the full 20 hours total. There was some softer pieces fairly normal even with all the same type of food, and the bananas' were the softest. That being said, again everything is based on how chewy or crispy you like it, and time depends on how thick you slice it, thinner dies faster and crisper faster, and can also be made chewy all based on the temp and time. We have a learning curb ahead of us here, but I like to set and forget and all the features for quick starting on FAST and auto switching to RAW for some foods, a time saver for sure. The manual and recipe book has everything you should need to get started and it includes some basic temp/time for fruits , vegies, nuts and meats. Remember, everything is a base line to get you started and you have to simply, play with it and learn how thick, and how long to dehydrate a type of food to the way you like it.

            very desappointed
sorry for my bad English. Just received my sedona and tried it immediately with what I thought would be the first easy step. I made apples , sweet potatoes, beets and carrots all of the slices very thin. After 24 hours (44°c) it was still humid and 12 hours later, the apples where still soft and the others were strong and not crispy at all. Does anybody can give me an advice. I do not want to spoil to much food and I could not find anywhere the accurate times and/or temperature.
