I used this product to replace rotted 2x4's in my concrete patio. They were relatively easy to install. The preparation was actually most of the work (removing old 2x4's and leveling ground) But placing the Trim A Slab was easy and my patio looks beautiful and is safe for my grandchildren's little feet. Pricey but worth it!

I have some concrete in my back yard for a patio and each concrete piece is separated by this old wood. The wood is now rotten since it was placed there in the 1970s, I needed a easy solution to replace that wood and the concrete is still good shape. I googled and YouTubed for some idea’s and I came across trim a slab and this is exactly what I was looking for! I bought 13 of these and went to work, it turned out great and so far so good. We’ll see what winter brings us and if they can hold up but I impressed a lot of people when they saw my new look patio! I recommend this product if your looking for a solution to replace old wood slab or concrete fillers.

Easy to install, difficult to make the height of the finished product acceptable. Will probably need a angle grinder and metal blade to cut through the rebar

Were sorry that you found part of the installation difficult. Due to different rebar placement, there are times when it will prevent the Trim-a-slab from going all the way down. What we recommend is cutting a small portion on the bottom of the Trim-A-Slab out to go around the rebar. You can use any type of commercial glue (Gorilla or Solar Seal, ETC.) so it will stay in place. This is much easier than cutting the rebar and just as effective. Hope this helps. ExpansionJoint
