Questions & Answers

can I use those trim as a baseboard trim ?

can I use those trim as a baseboard trim ?
Asked by: ROSIMEIRE
Yes, if you get straight pieces. I would suggest painting them before fixation. The 1"x 4" would look much better in my opinion, its what I'm using in my daughters house for a simple craftsaman look.

Does it glue well. Using for shadow box

Asked by: Memaw
Yes, but also takes 18 gauge brads very well. Spot of glue and a brad to secure you will be fine. Much faster than clamps.

I am wanting to make just a simple office desk for my office will that be the right would and would it hold to its use

Asked by: Hitgirl
I don't think so unless its just for a frame, where you would need to double, triple it up for legs and other supports. You did wants a paint finish , right?

Asked by: dj
Hi, you should get the same kind of wood slats as the bench originally had. you start by measuring a old slat, then looking for that dimension wood in pressure treated wood. if it is not available as pressure treated then the wood should be sealed to help prevent splinters and prevent weather damage.

Its stock levels vary so much from store to and when it gets low as it was today, its absolutely junk. Badly warped and with finger join marks. I'm sure there will be no trouble to bring back the 2 pieces I didn't use but I'm fed up of bending the trim to have any chance of being straight and will have to fight over the used but can't get it straight pieces. HD need to do better with junking the trim that is obviously no good. It may look as if there are 10 - 8ft pieces but who is going to buy the banana pieces and who will order more until they are noticed and dumped. Not me for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect as painted trim I just installed six "new construction" windows in my Florida room and used the 1" x 3" primed boards to trim out the interior studs. Finger jointed boards work well for this since they are less prone to warp than natural pine. Once painted the joint lines disappear. For some unknown reason they're primed a light grayish color and not white but two coats of white covered nicely. If you need to rip them to a final width and cut them to the final length remember to prime and paint the exposed raw wood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product These boards in all sizes are the best. Always straight, light weight and nicely primed. I like to keep a couple of each size in my shop at all times. They come in handy for all sorts of projects. Please keep selling them!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not use with white trim paint Remodeled 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Less than a year later the trim is all stained from bleed through, even though we primed and painted 2 coats of finish. Would not recommend for is your using white or a light colored trim paine
