27 cc Gas 2-Stroke Straight Shaft Attachment Capable Gas Brushcutter with String Trimmer Head Included

It seems powerful enough to do what I'm trying to do (clear brush/vines) so long as it has enough time to warm up and break in. The driveline lash in the whole mechanism causes the motor to stall out unless the throttle is very gradually applied. Once it's broken in/warmed up, it's not such an issue, but still exists. But the throttle cable support near the carb is the worst design I could ever imagine having on such a device. A little plastic clip with small, flimsy, tabs in a high-vibration, high-sideload application is destined for failure. Which it immediately did. I had to stop every 3 minutes to re-snap that clip back in so I could operate the throttle. I won't be using this trimmer again until I can fabricate a new, robust clip/mounting point so I don't lose throttle constantly.

I ordered this from Home Depot because of a great price and I have most of the attachments. Dose not have the power of the 4 stroke and no jump start. This will be my 3rd Troy Bilt. Last one lasted 13 plus years and was a 4 stroke with jump start are well worth the extra money.

This thing easily cut through the brush in my backyard that had grown up over the past year. It took out thick weeds and saplings in the fence row by the pasture with ease. I still haven't used the string head on it, but the blade asembly came off easier than i thought when I was testing the ease of removal.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT- purchased this item with an added on chain saw attachment. I then watched Home Depot sit on order of this item for several days before shipping. Got item in assembled and fueled with Pre-mix 40:1 ethanol free fuel bought last week. Primed the carb and began following start directions. Pulled about 20 times NO START, let set a few minutes and primed again choked and pulled another 20 times. This time let sit longer and without priming again pulled another 20 times. Walked away form unit to let shoulder stop hurting and went back 5 minutes or so. Started from beginning again on start instructions. Primed 10 times, choked and began to pull. On 3rd pull starter cord system locked up and completely failed. So now I have to go to Home Depot and return the unit. They won't be able to replace it as they don't show to have any of these locally. So if I want to try trim my trees or cut the brair on my fence line have to wait ANOTHER WEEK or SPEND MORE ON A BETTER MODEL. Absolutely horrible experience with an order process and with a product. And in the Question & Answer section a question of if Jump Start compatible was asked and Troy Built answered and said YES, that was either flat a lie or someone that doesn't know their own product because mine sure IS NOT compatible unless you change the entire starter pull housing.

Difficult to start would not recommend

The product works well. The delivery service placed the box on its bad side down, so it looked intact for their picture at the time of delivery, however when I lifted the box up the tool fell out of the bottom of the box which had been tore open. Good news is the tool works great.

Starts easier than my last trimmer. Plenty of power for trimming. I like the adjustable handles. The little transfer case at the end on top of the cutting head gets pretty hot.
