what is the r value of this product
Can I use this product over heat tape on my pipes?
Thank you for contacting us, Sandee. Certainly! You can use heat trace with Tubolit pipe insulation as long as the temperature of the heat trace does not exceed 180° F. However, please keep in that you may need to increase the insulation thickness to account for the heat trace cable thickness. This ensures optimal performance and proper coverage. What is the OD and/or the wall thickness of this insulation? I saw somebody said it was 2-3/8" ID. I need it to fill a void.
This product has an inside diameter of 2-3/8-inch. The wall thickness is is 3/8-inch thick.
Will this hold up on an an outdoor rooftop application?
