42 in. x 84 in. 1/4 Lite Frosted Glass White Finished MDF Sliding Barn Door with Hardware Kit

A lot of inconsistent measurements and instructions. First off look at my pictures. it turned out somewhat great but at a price. When I received the package it was packaged very well. everything was included, no spare parts. I noticed the paint finish was thin and uneven in places but acceptable. The glue they supply for the dowels was very small and looked like Elmer's school glue. I am experienced with ready to assemble furniture so I prepared for this and bought Elmer's heavy duty 3x stronger than wood glue. First hour spent assembling left me baffled. Cams would only lock on one side so understandable that the door fell apart for so many. I concluded the cams were too short or just maybe there was a, workaround. What I found to work was this. placed glue in dowel holes per instructions. placed a dab of glue in the round cam lock holes too. per my instincts. First cam goes in and cam lock is only turned one quarter turn (enough to hold it but not lock it. push parts together and cam does not show in opposing cam lock hole. Using a small flat head screwdriver I pull the cam into the hole slightly. Insert dab of glue and second cam lock. Turn one quarter turn. Now cam is engaged at both ends but not tight. Slowly turn cam locks towards the plus sign in alternating increments until both are turned a full half turn or a litt more. Super tight fit. install glass in channels. put other sidepiece on in same manner. put straps around door and let glue dry for two days. install j straps. install the little white round cam lock covers. they are junk so I buy the c lock covers that snap in. much better. handle holes are prefilled. great except on wrong side for my application. I cover those holes with small cabinet screw covers. not too happy with that but it'll do. instructions say to me ount rail 83 3/4" above floor. that's too low. I did 84 inches. perfect. instructions say mount rail 1 1/2 inch right of right door edge. left side in my application. I'm reversed. I did. should have went with 1 inch only for better alignment and looks. buts that's okay. I put bottom alignment piece 9n floor at 1 and 1/2 per instructions had to move to 1 and a 1/4. should have used 1 inch. again okay. went to use included template for door handle and thought do I trust this template. no measure has been right yet. sure enough template was off. I made new template. not the one hour job I thought but it works with a whole lot of reengineering and effort.

DO NOT BUY this door- you get what you pay for. The hardware cannot support the door and it was failing and falling apart in 3 weeks. Returning it asap.

Door was broke when I picked it up

The quality was amazing but I just feel like it would fall apart. The materials that was giving in the box didn’t lock together it was a pain trying to assemble it door. Don’t purchase

It looks great, but you get what you pay for. Cheap quality.

The parts were not working. Also parts were missing. The door was pretty. But broken and not good quality. Home Depot was great.

Absolutely aweful. Don’t buy. Poorly constructed. Parts don’t fit. We returned it. Waste of time and money

The door would have looked great…but the hardware didn’t fit and so it fell apart upon picking it up. Looks like we’re not the only ones who had this problem too.
