A:  Yes, since outdoor cords are thicker, I would not use anything lighter though, it also worked on 12 gauge, not sure why you cord is not the usual 16 gauge (13A) that Home Depot sells.

    Great seal
    Great product. Used it to seal the connection of my outdoor deck lights. Keeps rain out. Fit the plugs perfectly with a nice tight snap.

    This product exceeded expectations. It was described as a light-medium duty cover, but it's much more robust than I expected. Definitely suitable for installations in any geographic region except perhaps Alaska and New England. Very reasonable cost, too.

    Great quality, but doesn't fit normal extension cords. The picture implies it'll work with extension cords but the ends on mine don't fit because the interior compartment is too small. For some reason it's not returnable online, so now I have to go find a store and return it. I ended up buying another one from a large online retailer with easy returns.
