Q:I am creating custom stamped concrete cladding panels for my homes' exterior. What are your thoughts on applying this to the top (weather exposed) surface only, under the color hardener and then float it into the top 1/8" with the color hardener? Thanks

Answer This Question

A:  Type-e is an additive, so you would be best served to mix it into the concrete. We have never tested your method so I dont know the exact results greg@dryconcrete.com i would be happy to answer any other questions 646 404 7272

Q:Can this be used in concrete mixes, specifically in 2" overlay situations on basement floors?

    Answer This Question

A:  It can be, but there is a more appropriate product for that approach. You should consider the use of KIM admix. This is available in 5-gal pails and is typically enough additive to treat 4-5 CY of concrete depending on your mix design. you can order from greg@dryconcrete.com thank you

        Answer This Question

A:  The 5 gallon bucket will treat roughly 1500lbs of Portalnd cement at a ratio of 1.88lbs of E Krystal per 94lbs Portland. This is based on the estimated weight of the 5 gallon bucket of E Krystal being 29.4lbs.

A:  I thought i responded to this already you would add type-e at 2% of the cement weight. so for every 100 lbs of cement in your mix / bags you would add 2lbs of type-e eg for a bag of Portland Cement (94lbs) you would add 1.88 lbs of type-e additive please email if you have additional questions thank you greg greg@dryconcrete.com
