Product Details

Use the Deep Series Trench Drain End Cap to seal off the end of your Deep Series Modular Trench and Channel Drainage system. The Deep Series trench drains have a deep-profile design that's ideal for high water flow areas. The modular system makes tailoring your drainage system quickly and easily. Simply clip the end cap onto the end of your channel trench drain length and it's instantly ready for use as a finishing point. Use our sandstone or terracotta colored trench drains to match or contrast the bricks or tiles in your patio or pool drainage systems. The end cap is one of the many accessory options that can be used with our yard drainage systems: converter pieces, corner pieces, tee pieces, catch basins and storm water pits to name a few. When the end cap is installed in reverse, it becomes an adapter piece with a 3 in. cutout section that can be cut out with a hole saw to add a 3 in. drainage pipe to the end of your trench drain system.

Q:Can I use another fill material besides concrete? Perhaps sand or dirt, with some sort of anchor?

Answer This Question

A:  If you are driving over the product it must be set in concrete. IF not driving over it, I recommend using rebar and tying it to the gaps of the feet of the channel to prevent floating.

    Q:bought the deep series trench and couplings 2018 installed. Couplings have stretched out and won't snap into place.or stay in place.... should I just use construction adhesive to keep it attached to the corner piece?

    A:  I don't know the answer. This is something that I would ask from the manufacturer or an installer. Mine was installed by a professional. Sorry.

      A:  I would gently squeeze the open ends of the convertor together so they touch. Then use our poly adhesive sku 20095 in the groove of the converter and attach to the 90 degree corner.

        Q:Is there a connector for two female connections next each other? I tried to replace a L with a T and the connections are now female to female. Is there an adapter for this?

        Answer This Question

        A:  Sorry no connector for 2 female end fittings. Take the female end from the main 40" L and make a cut between the ribbed sections 8" from the end. Trim the cut section to mirror a male end, then rotate 180º the female end to connect to the cut end. This will give you a male end fitting to connect to the Female end of the T.

          A:  Using end multi pipe adaptor sku 83355 or bottom multi pipe adaptor sku 83356 you can connect to 3" or 4" sch 40 or ABS, or 4" triple wall pipe solid or perforated. Using the end cap installing in reverse and cutting out the internal section, will allow to connect to 3" corrugated pipe.

            Did the trick
            I have a monster hill with a small flat part that was trying to wash out. I have never done anything like this before, but watching YouTube I was able to create a solution with this drain to capture the runoff into this drain and divert it to the road. The drain was placed below the dirt line and I put concrete around it (peat gravel on top) so I could walk on it and direct water into the drain. I had to call the company for another adapter and I must say they were pretty awesome to work with too.

              I used it next to a side walk with dirt on the other side and a little gravel on top so the dirt would stay put. I had to have a slight turn and had to cut it. Wish I knew that nothing will bond or seal to these drain systems because their made of polypropylene ploymer. Only thing I found was DP-8005 from 3M and it aint cheap that's why I gave it only 4 stars. After heavy rains from hurricane Delta the system performed very well. The grates are easy to pop off with two flathead screwdrivers.

              I bought this and 18ft of drain. It worked out well, except for the connectors to add end caps and join the 90° corner to the drain. The connector is too flexible and doesnt hold well, but with a little determination and concrete to hold everything in place, we are very happy with the finished product.

              The sections for this drain kit slide together but they don't snap in place which makes it hard to keep them to stay put. One section somehow mysteriously separated from the other while the cement was curing. I doubt they would’ve separated had there been a snap that held them together. I could’ve glued them but the ‘tongue and grove’ is so small that I doubt it would’ve helped. The product is made of rigid plastic and looks good, but the design behind connecting them together failed miserably. If the pitch of your base isn’t perfectly even there will be a good chance that the sections will not stay fully seated and they will pop up. I would’ve given the product 4 or 5 stars had they snapped together and had some way of keeping them from popping out of the ground or moving around while the cement cures. Maybe some tabs with a hole on the bottom so you could drive a stake through or something. I’ll probably end up ripping it out next year and redo it using another product or keep looking for a contractor to do it.

                Durable, easy to assemble and install. Connected easily to flex drain tube. Had a washout area in our flowerbed that was being caused by the run-off of our neighbor's driveway. Installed this along the fence line and ran a flex tube into our yard with a pop-up. Problem solved.
