Questions & Answers

Can structo-lite be used as a base under a toilet bowl?

Asked by: Al
I would not use it. The main purpose of this product is to provide finished coating and some insulation. Area under the toilet bowl needs strong base and strength which this product can’t provide. Hope it helps

How hard is this once set? Does this set up as hard as “Fix it all” or “Presto Patch”?

Asked by: Tg
I have used Structo-Lite for many years. It is highly strong and dries like light weight concrete. It can be used for many applications and sticks to almost everything. I have used it to skim coat over drywall to get that tough, smooth old work wall feel to my projects. I personally have not used Fix it all or Presto Patch (never heard of either) so it might not be sold here in St. Louis.

What can you add to Structo-Lite to accelerate setting time?

Asked by: Arek
Structolite sets in about 90 minutes. This product is what you need to speed the setting time. USG accelerator for plaster. The more you add to the Mix, the faster Structolite and Durabond will set hard. This allows multiable layers in short time. Home Depot has this in the building materials section or online.
