nice base
I like that the base is a solid weight base, don’t have to add anything to it. I like that it can hold 3 different umbrella pole sizes. I had to remove the first ring. The base pole fits into my table so the umbrella has extra support. If the base of your table has a drop down center support then I recommend fitting your umbrella pole to the base first before installing the base itself .

rusting piece of garbage
Purchased last year and its already rusting away. Rusty water leaking out of all seams. Leaves a mess wherever it gets moved. If you buy one, dont let it get rained on

Efficient and simple
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This umbrella base does the job perfectly. My precious umbrella base didn’t have the screw feature to tighten it resulting in our umbrella flying off the porch into our neighbor’s yard one windy day. The umbrella pole is now held strongly with this base. Its design is simple and neutral with no frills, which I like. It took only a minute to assemble. End caps allow for 3 different size umbrella poles. The only thing that I’m not sure about is the material. I couldn’t find anywhere what it’s made it’s made of exactly and whether it’ll leave rust on my patio. So far so good.

Cheap, Off-Sized, Plastic Parts!
Concrete base portion and metal upright sleeve seem fine, but the "adjustable collar", which consists of 3 separate plastic parts of CHEAP, flimsy junk that are off sized. The middle sized collar, which is supposed fit a standard 1.5" diameter umbrella pole is too small to accommodate a 1.5" pole, and the largest of the 3 collars is way too big. So other than returning the whole thing, I opted to split the cheap plastic on the middle sized collar down the side (which wasn't difficult at all because it's really thin plastic), so that I could then insert the 1.5" pole into it, and then insert that into the largest of the 3 collars, for a reasonably snug fit. But with this jury rig modification, the split open middle collar cannot slide all the way down into the largest collar as it should, so it looks crappy. Only saving grace for us is that this stand will be underneath a patio table, so at least we won't have to look at the parts that don't fit correctly. Check out the photos...you'll quickly see exactly what I'm describing! I guess you get what you pay for! $38 doesn't get you quality anymore!
