Using it to paint a high gloss enamel. It shed a few bristles which was annoying but I needed something cheap and disposable.

Good for a cheap brush
Its a cheap brush that worked as expected. Its thick flat bristles hold a good amount of paint. I used one for polyurethane, and another for exterior trim. It served its purpose for some quick projects that I knew would be one time use. I didnt bother washing brushes, they are cheap enough to toss. In between coats I store them in a baggie in the fridge.

Really you want me to rate the less expensive paint brush you sell? Fine, I use these ONCE. I slap a gallon of Helmsman down with them. I do have to go to another store to buy the Helmsman, since you folks stopped selling it. I think in some back room deal to help keep sole-source prices high... that said with that nasty oil based stuff on the brush. they make one fine camp fire starter over a beer when I finish work for the day. Oh and my wrist is still numb from burning thru three of these in as many daze last week... GP

some background, i can cut in without using any tape so i am not a novice. i bought this paint brush to paint two exterior rough stucco chimneys with behr elastomeric stucco/brick paint. The elastomeric paint is very thick. The brush held the paint with no issues. The brush does shed on initial use say about two dozen bristles overall so not terrible. The problem is that the brush does not stand up to cleaning with just water. the bristles split and curl extensively see pics. I even tried to use some plastic wrap to try and hold the bristles in place after washing but it did not help. In addition, adding paint to the bristles in this curled split position will not remedy anything some brushes once paint is added the bristles will lay flat again. The only solution is to cut the bristles off if you want to reuse the brush. and at $5 brushes are not one use economy given name or not. that adds up to wasted money. i would have had to buy six brushes to do the job. also the bristles do leave brush marks, which really did not matter on a chimney.

Can't beat it for the price. Used this brush to apply Rustoleum. Worked very well and only lost a single fiber the whole time. Great for those that hate to clean up oil based paints.
