Very easy install if you have simple skills and dont need to drill holes for new install, to pogram you do need the app and the bridge went smooth too. There was a firmware update on my model that also had no problems. My Echo also was able to sync up with no problems! Fingerprint scans take about a minute to do, you can have a different code for each user too.

Works exactly as the description. Very easy to install. I installed this lock on my front door and looks very good. The material looks good quality. the configuration process and daily use is simple, my whole family has not had a problem since it was installed, I still do not know how long the battery will last, we already have two months of continuous use but that is not the most important thing for me in the decision making. Just follow the steps and download the u-tec app . I wanted a lock that would not give me problems and that would work for a front door and this is not the cheapest option but it is the one that has better reviews after a long search on the internet. I would buy another if I needed it

Failed after two years
We primarily used the fingerprint entry, and it worked like a charm, until after 2 years, it suddenly stopped working. All other functions still work, bluetooth, remote, code, and key. Support was willing to give me 30% off to replace that function, which may mean the entire lock.
However, I told them I don't want 30% off, I need a lock that is longterm and reliable.
I'm ready to go back to the trusty lock and key.

Not a strong product
I bought this lock for a vacation home I have in the mountains. While the lock is rated for extreme temperatures, the key pad died without any warning when the temps were in the 20s. I tried to use the emergency micro USB port but that didn't work. Since the cabin is in the middle of nowhere I couldn't find a locksmith and was forced to drill the lock out. I asked for a refund from U-tec but since I was outside of the 30 day window I was not offered one. Very disappointed with the product.

Malfunctioned after 6 months.
Customer support is not replacing the lock even though it is under warranty. Lock was purchased 8 months ago. They are sending new internal components and expect me to reassemble to lock myself. Took me over a month to get ahold of someone on the tech support team.
What malfunctioned:
The finger print scanner stopped working
The Keypad stopped working
The lock jams even when I try to use the key
The app does not control the lock anymore
Dont waste your money!

The company is terrible
They won’t stand behind their product.
Do yourself a favor and buy a different lock from a different company because when something goes wrong and it will, these people will just blow you off!
I know what I’m talking about j made the mistake of buying g 4 of them!
