10 in. Shower Squeegee

This Unger shower squeegee exemplifies function over fashion. It's a "no frill" squeegee with an equally "no frills" hook. That said, it does what it is supposed to do, and wipes water cleanly off glass with it's soft silicone rubber edge. The grip is comfortable. The hanging hole in the handle is somewhat small (about 1/2" long and narrow), so may not fit the hook you'd like to use. The included hook is pretty tiny, and mounts with (included) double-sided tape. Made in China

I like the clear flexible squeegee blade. Before I started using it, I checked the website (www.ungerconsumer.com). The website has helpful information and shows the range of products. Unger has done a good job of designing features of their products for multiple uses. For example, this squeegee has holes for the spring-loaded pin on their extension pole. They included holes on both the front and the back of the squeegee. The holes also allow the squeegee to be hung from the hook that is included. You decide how you want to hang it. This squeegee slips on the end of their extension pole, and the pin on the pole holds it solid. If you don’t have their extension pole, they have a threaded socket inside this squeegee that allows you to use any threaded extension pole. Threading it on a threaded pole takes more effort and time than just slipping it on their pole. It looks like their pole will supply more support for the handle by spreading the pressure over a greater length of the handle. The handle is much easier to grip than the handle on my other squeegee. Sometimes this squeegee makes streaks on the mirror, but my other squeegee does the same. I like to use the squeegee to keep my shower door from gathering layers of water spots. The hanging hook stuck to the curved surface above my shower door.

Like anyone else with glass shower doors, we keep a squeegee in our shower and everyone is supposed to squeegee down the glass before they get out of the shower to prevent water spot build up. We've done this for many years. I found, some time ago, that the shower squeegee needed to be somewhat different than the one I used on outside windows: * I didn't want any metal parts to nick or mark the shower sides. Or to corrode as virtually all metal does in a constantly wet environment. * It was better to have a slightly smaller squeegee in the shower compared to a 12" or 14" one for window use so it could be easily maneuvered around door handles and hinges. * I hate waste and wanted squeegees that I could replace the blades cheaply and easily. * I wanted a hanger that could be mounted inside the shower without drilling the tile, stone or fiberglass on the walls. Well, the replaceable blade desire was a dream I found. Many had replaceable blades but, one could never find them. And HD stock was changing all the time anyway. So, that was out. Our old squeegee was starting to wear and this Unger product was available. It says it is specifically for the shower so, I thought I might give it a try. It does work. But no better than any other squeegee we've tried. It's all plastic so, no danger of marking our gouging the shower materials. It came with a hanger with a press on back. Although we have used suction cup type hangers for years with great results. So, that really didn't matter much to us. It has a soft, rubberlike covered handle which is nice. But, as other's have said that handle lacks a drain hole. Which allows water to build up inside which will lead to mold and mildew. ;-( All squeegees I've ever had are threaded inside the handle. And, it's been a fairly universal threading that would go on the various poles and extensions we have. This allowed for use to clean high windows, etc. other than just inside the shower. But the Unger isn't threaded. It does have preset holes that will clip on to an Unger pole. That is proprietary and, I try to stay away from proprietary so that I'm not forced to pay more or end up with a product that can't be upgraded or updated because the manufacturer no longer provides the proprietary accessories required. What this Unger has over most all other shower squeegees is price. It is among the cheapest small squeegees available and, it is of sufficient quality to do what it is supposed to do. Overall, the Unger works. And works as well as any other. I'll drill a drain hole in the handle. And, we'll continue using our suction cup type shower hangers because we like them more than something that tapes on. I can recommend it with the above caveats.

Really nice tool to keep those hard water spots off the glass shower doors just a little bit longer. The Unger 10 inch shower squeegee worked well in getting the water off my glass shower doors and tiles. The rubber is a bit stiff so you can get into corners but it takes a few times to get the hang of it. The handle shows some tipe of screw on but ther are no threads inside of the handle so not sure what OEM is tring to tell me. The package comes with a stick on hook for hanging in the shower. Ther is no drain hole in the head so if you do not hang it high enough it will fill with water.The price point is real reasonable and I found no flaws in the material or assembly. I really hate to clean hard water and soap off of the glass doors so two minuets with this squeegee and I can cut my hand scrubbing time in half. Recomended.

Anyone that has a glass enclosed shower has to have a Squeegee for their shower, This Unger brand has a nice design for the blade, I only gave it 4 stars since you have to hang it upside down (handle up). I went ahead and drill a hole between the blue handle and the lade holder to allow water to drain out, not a big deal, but leaving water inside the handle for long periods of time will lead to mold.. did not use the hangar included I do no stick things to the tiles. Just took a thick cord and hang it on the shower handle. I am very pleased with the action of the blade, nice silicon rubber, really takes the water away and does not leave residue.

I’ve been using a squeegee in my shower since it was new, about 6 years now. It has a metal connection for the rubber glider and it would mark up my tile when using in corners. So when I saw this I thought it was the perfect solution so I don’t have that problem anymore. It’s lightweight, 10” wide blade length and 7” long and comfortable in my hand. It’s good for household cleaning but I don’t think it would be sufficient for commercial grade continual use. The squeeze cleans my glass doors well, but the rubber is pretty stiff, making an odd noise. I use it on my tile as well and it was fine. I haven’t used it on mirrors yet as I don’t have any large enough to warrant its use. It’s comfortable in my hand, lightweight with it being plastic, and can be put on a stick with threads if needed. It comes with a hanger that can be used to hang up your squeegee, but I lay it in a bucket with a towel. Overall, it’s a standard squeegee that works well enough to get the household jobs done. My metal squeegee is now retired and this is my new assistant in the bathroom. Made in China with a ‘satisfaction guaranteed’ warranty.

I’m one of those fussy people that likes a clean looking shower. I like to use a squeegee to remove the remaining water droplets from my glass shower when I’m done - it makes maintaining a clean bathroom much easier and prevents the buildup of soap scum. This is a very nicely made squeegee that works well at making a clean pass removing the water droplets. The construction of it helps the squeegee itself to remain clean in your shower environment. The only downside for me is I wish it was about 2” wider so I only had to make two passes on my shower doors rather than three.

Silicone blade removes most of the water and no streaks. We always follow with a towel to remove all the water drops. The blade slides so you can have a short edge close to the grip to get a firm blade when needed. The handle might work with a non-threaded, press-fit type of extension handle. There are no threads inside the squeegee. We'll not use it for windows. The little hook will be nice if the double sided tape will hold on the ceramic tile.

My Review for Unger 10 in. Shower Squeegee is mainly focused on what needs improvement. First the squeegee needs to provide a removable hook for the shower area. The hook provided is permit stile and won't allow you to remove to clean the area. Second, the rubber seems to be too firm and won't get the edges get clean. Third, there needs to be a hole in the other end of the handle to let the water drain out.

I chose the Unger 10 in. Shower Squeegee to use on my new shower doors when the shower is completed. But in the mean time I will use it on the one gable end window at my parents house with the Unger 6 ft telescopic extension pole, it just clicks right on to the end. I like that the squeegee blade is firm enough to sweep away the water, yet made of a very flexible rubber if it needs to be. I also like the it comes with it's own hanging hook so it is right in the shower to grab after every shower.
