The Su Casa 24 in. x 24 in. Window Guard offers enhanced security for your home. Welded 1/2 in. tubular steel construction maximizes forced-entry deterrence. Available accessories allow you to protect oversize windows and create an interior quick release to enhance fire safety. Mounting brackets are sold separately. I have a window opening that will measure short of 36" wide, but still need the 24" height. Would it be possible to shorten the width of the 36" x 24" to a ~34" x 24" by cutting off the ends and still be able to use the internal mount brackets?

what hardware do i need to install these security bars to brick wall?
You will need to purchase brick/masonry Anchor and Hex head bolts to mount into the brick wall. Make sure you get the correct diameter bolt to fit through the existing holes in the gate mounting brackets that come with the gate.

Yes if they are not supposed to kick open. I bought 2 like this for permanent installation in my kitchen (on the inside) due to crank windows. The kick to open kits don't really work properly if it's in a bedroom or room that requires an exit, but there is another style that opens on the inside, its just not as cute.
