Can you add two pet grilles to one slider patio door -- one on each side?

One can be added to each side but there may not be enough room on the inside of the slider as it moves past the post.

I purchased this product and it is not quite wide enough by 1/4 inch. is their an extender/ thanks

Thank you for your interest in our Pet Grilles. We do not offer any extenders for the grilles. Perhaps you should speak with a hardware associate at your local Home Depot store for assistance. They may be able to suggest a solution for you. I hope this is helpful.

I can't help you here because I used Rivnuts and machine screws to mount the grill to my sliding screen door. It has a hollow aluminum frame and sheet metal screws would strip out over time. However, I suspect that #6x 5/8" or #8x5/8" pan head sheet metal screws might work OK. Just see what size will fit thru the holes in the grill frame mounting tabs. The pilot hole should be smaller than the screw size, just big enough for the screw tip to start.

You can trim the ends to make it fit with a dremil or just a hack saw. You will have to cut down both sides. Inside Screw holes will accommodate this

I mounted mine on a 36" door. The mounting holes are 34" apart. We've had it for several years now.

DOES NOT PROTECT 36” SLIDING SCREEN DOOR!
The mounting tabs are just long enough to reach the vertical frames of the 36-inch-wide sliding screen door. However, the space below the tabs are unprotectected, allowing your pet access to the edges of the screen the guard is supposed to protect. The gaps are almost 1 1/2 inches wide.

I installed the Pet Grille because the cat was pushing his way through the corners of the regular screen. The grille seems to work to keep him from escaping into the back yard...for now. If he gets frustrated enough, he'll probably figure out a way to force the whole door off of its tracks. The measurements are confusing as others have mentioned. The actual screen portion is only 30.75" in width so the mounting screws go through the most outward tab holes. The uprights or side bars are visible as you can see in the photo. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing look, but preventing pet escapes makes for a worthwhile compromise.

I used this product on the outside of a new screen door and also installed a doggie door at the same time. It's a good screen guard and was easy to install to complete my project. I wish it fit the full 36 inch screen door, it leaves about an inch or so gap on each side. Also the price was a bit high and Home Depot would not honor their online price which I found a bit surprising. I'd like to give it a better rating but those negative things stand out - other than that I'm happy with the product.

Price is high but fit, finish and quality are great. Heavy duty but designed to fit flush to door. I like it and would recommend it to anybody willing to pay for a good product. In my Home Depot look behind the hinged slididling door display. Hard to find but worth the search.

I have 2 German Shepard/ Husky mix 75LB dogs. They got through the steel screen like it was nothing. Completely destroyed it. I really wanted this product to work . I can see this being great for smaller dogs but will not stop large breeds.

This dog screen protection is light weight, thin metal wire is good enough for screen door which I needed for my chihuahua dog. However, the size said 36 x 30 but actually is not 36in metal screen it's about 32-33in metal screen and it ddin't cover my 36in screen door completely, it left both sides about 1in open each side and it's enough for my dog can scatch my screen door, so I have to add aluminum bar on both sides. It's easy to install and look prety too.
