Will the two security door locks hit my existing door locks ? How high is from the bottom of the screen door to the two holes for locks?

Thank you for your interest in our La Entrada Security Door. The door lock box is positioned such that it will not interfere with standard locksets at standard heights on your primary door. I hope this information is helpful.

How do I lubricate the hinges? What is best type of lubricant? Normal for door to seek & hard to move within 2 weeks?

Have had mine for about two years. It is not hard to open swings very easy and smooth. I use graphite in a can. It works great on locks and hinges. Just have a paper towel or something at the end of the nozzle and around what do you not want to get black. It comes out fast. It will wipe off but takes a bit to get it off.

Can this door accommodate a mail slot in the middle by removing some metal? Is there an easy way to remove this metal?

I do not work at Home depot I am just a shopper there. But my opinion is it would be a pretty big job to make that have a mail drop. You would have to cut it with a metal blade which would be the easy part but then you would need something to cover the cut metal so it doesn't cut you. I have not looked for a grommet but I know they have grommet that would slide into it,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This is a nice door, however... We chose this door because it's very nice looking. However, we had it installed by the people Home Depot contracts with. We were a little concerned that instead of shimming with pieces of wood to fill the gap between the frame and door, they used screws. We have a gap instead of a flush install. Also, we noticed after the install that the door doesn't fit flush near the top. We had the installer come back and he said he was sorry he didn't notice the door was warped before he installed it. Great. We weren't sure how much of a problem we would have to have it removed and replaced, so we kept it. In addition, it took 5 calls to home depot, including the manager, over a week to get the person back out to check on the install. Apparently, installing the door using screws instead of wood shims is an ok install as far as home depot is concerned. Oh, by the way, the installer left us a tube of caulk to fill in the gaps. Swell.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought this door & it began to rust 35 days after being installed. This door should not be insta... Bought this door & it began to rust 35 days after being installed. This door should not be installed where rain can directly hit the door which is ironic as it is an exterior door.... Be aware that the warranty, which is not provided with the door/is on the HD website, does not cover rust. When I contacted the company, the only solution they offered was to send me a little container of touch up paint & I would have to prep & repaint the door. The only other option was to remove & replace the door but that would cost me $250 in labor costs & it would most likely not resolve the issue due to the poor quality control on their paint application. Very disappointed....below are just 3 of the 12 pictures I sent to the manufacturer & showed Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from REALLY NICE DOOR! I read the reviews and decided on this Navajo white door. I am glad I did. I love the color and was expecting an off white, which this is more of a light sandstone color. It is a very rich looking color. My husband installed it without any problems. The quality of this security is very impressive. I would highly recommend this door to anyone looking for a security door. It looks so good and nothing like a security door. Like all the reviewers listed said, when someone is at your door you can see them, but they can not see you. I am hoping I can find the same pattern for my patio door. Very please with purchase! This is a beautiful door!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it Just what I was looking for. Looks nice. I love that I can now get a nice breeze through my front door without compromising security. The other thing that's really awesome about this door is that I can see out but nobody can see in! I tested this out with my dad and he got his nose all the way up to the screen and I could barely even see he was there. The dogs love it too. I would definitely purchase this again.
